The reason hes racist is because his wife was black, if you watched the series. It like if bioware decided to kill off jacob because so many people don't like him. I don't understand it myself, but if joker got killed I think I would cry. He's one of my best buddies in the game and my femshep's drool had if they even have a seen where they killed him I would cry and this is coming from a guy. lol.
If only you could understand how that just literally made my brain explode...
That makes...NO SENSE whatsoever...If Bioware decided to kill off Jacob because no one liked him, the reason they'd kill him off would be because no one liked him...not because he is black. You just...threw in the color of his skin to make it a race issue...wow, just wow. -facedesk- Joss Whedon is totally racist, by making a sexy, strong, determined awesome character and having her played by a black woman. Totally. Usually when someone pulls the race card they use it on the person that WAS killed...not the other way around...
ANNNNYWAAAAY. I found an awesome Joker wallpaper on the Mass Effect Community on Livejournal!

The moderators are typically laid-back and not likely to shut-down a thread unless there are complaints about it, it is clearly not a good thread, spoilers in a no-spoilers forum etc. They will not close down this thread because we strayed into the Whedonverse for like 8 posts out of thousands.
*sigh*
Anyway, great wall paper Razz, I can't change mine (unfortunately) as I have a family PC and it has a picture of our whole family on it, and I think the kids would be hurt if I took them off for either Alistair or Joker.
I'm taking all my girls through Awakenings right now, so when I get done with that and come back to ME, I'll really appreciate Joker more - absence makes the heart grow fonder.

I don't support Joker romance (let's be fair people, Joker / Seth Green is NOT a romantic person and he's way cooler if he stays single). But besides that, Joker is my favorite character in Mass Effect!
Thank you for your opinion.
And Tooney, that's exactly what I was talking about a couple days ago. You say weird stuff sometimes, "sometimes" being an understatement...
:innocent:

Huh. Wonder if Seth Green's fiance knows he's not a romantic person?
And once again, I will bring up the question that we've asked plenty of naysayers... if you don't want a romance with Joker, then just don't start on the romance track with him, but why begrude those of us who do want something our fun? I didn't want a Garrus romance; others did; I'm happy that they got to have their fun. It doesn't interest me so I don't have my FemSheps pursue a relationship with him. Very easy.

Joker does not look like he would be very good in the sack.
And when he gets excited he would just say "****, ****, ****, what the ****?"
That's funny, but not very sexy.

Actually, no, I'm pretty sure you're the the first, maybe the second person to post to this thread who's confused enough about male human anatomy as to think that there's actually a bone in... you know what, never mind.
Also, I come bearing adorkable fanart!

Its fine I just have to keep the topic on the ME universe. They shut down another one I had awhile back and I cried. Ahhh. ='( Anyway, As for the racist topic.

Crying racism is not a joke, it's ignorance and pretty damn annoying.

And oooooooooh yeah, Seth Green is sooooo not romantic, oh he's so not capable of showing love at all! He'll never get engaged or get married...OH WAIT. The whole 'Seth Green doesn't seem the romantic type' is a lot of crock and bull, he's engaged, normally when two people get engaged some type of emotion called love is involved at some given point. Who woulda thunk.

Thanks for not going their Woooh. I think we all love you more for not. I don't see, yes its old, but sometimes its the old we learn from which brings in the new. If you understand any of that.
As for joker and his love. After the conversations we have read and debated about in this thread. It seems clear joker will be upgraded more in ME 3. I'm guarrentying he will probably get more dialugoe this we can guarrentee. I think just having the fact your femshep will be able to just flirt with him would do this thread justice. We don't even need to full romance. I mean if I get it awesome, but just flirting in general would make all the hours we have put on here worth it.

Seriously, people are more than just one dimensional "HEY I'M FUNNY" entities. Being funny and sarcastic does not prevent one from being capable of love, tenderness, bravery, intelligence, or random acts of kindness. The fact that Seth Green, a real human being who is more than just the characters he creates/voices/plays is certainly capable of any of those things. Joker, as a character is allowed to experience those things, too, just like tali got to be more than a squeeky walking encyclopedia in ME2 and Garrus got to pull the pole out of his ass and beat guys with it, why should Joker NOT be allowed to expand, too?
*sigh* I am way too tired to try to school pre-teens on the human condition today. If they got this far in life without realizing that other people have emotions too they are probably beyond help.

Yeah, I was thinking about this... it's like if you're sarcastic/funny/pessmistic/cynical (all of which describe Joker in varying degrees) then you can't be capable of affection or concern. Or maybe people mean Joker isn't romantic in the sense that he isn't the type to buy flowers for a girl? Which, you know, would be okay, as I'm pretty sure most Sheps aren't the type to want flowers.

I think Joker is too busy playing with 80's action figurines and making 15min TV show segments with them to have an LI.
At least thats one of the more orginal and funnier comments I seen in here about the Joker LI on the negative side.

Speaking of Just_mike's comment that would make a funny scene if part of the ME3 Joker conversations involves walking in on Joker playing with 80's "action figures". I just had a "Space Balls" memory come to mind.
And now I'm picturing Shepard walking back to her quarters to find Joker re-enacting epic space battles using all her model ships. And by "epic space battles" I mean him killing Sovereign over and over again.

And joker could then say:
While holding the old normandy
Joker:
Prepare yourself sorvereign for the mighty joker and the Normandy.
He pretends to use a fake voice for sovereign.
Joker: I will destroy you all humans.
Then joker says
Ahhhaahhh. Feel the power of jokers mighty piloting skills.
Shepard then peeks around the corner and joker then looks up as hes still playing.
He then looks at her with total embarressment.
Then shepard does something for him. She gives him a moment.
Shepard: Yeah, I guess Jokers piloting did save the day. She:
Joker then turns red, but can't say a thing except.
Joker:
So commander? Umm. Nice hamster you got.!
