Trapper I love your comments they are assumeness with great insight and humor, but you just crossed the line. Thats beyond strange, but for some reason I can't stop thinking about the situation now. hhhmmmm.
Why thank you, I specilize in creating strong mental images. I also do weddings, coctail dinners, birthday partys and office meetings but I draw the line at dancing... unless its with Melissa Russell, in which case I will gladly don pink ribbons in my hair and get funky with some line danceing.
Also note that when doing birthday partys I refuse to jump out of the cake.

I'm not trying to say "no Joker romance", really. I think that the more possible plotlines out there, the more fun the game is-- play male or female, renegade or paragon, different classes, different romances, etc.
I just think that the EDI/Joker dynamic is something the writers are clearly putting in intentionally, and it could be fun (for the player, not necessarily for the characters). It adds tension, especially if there's a Joker/Shep relationship. What is really going on in EDI's "head"? She might not have emotions as humans think of them-- she literally has no hormones-- but she does have motivations. What if she decides that romancing Shepard will distract Joker from his helmsman duties? There's all sorts of interesting plot twists there.

Heh. Well, they did already get in an Austin Powers reference... I'm sure if they continue with the "Joker says random and hilarious things while you stand behind him" thing he might be able to get a few references in.

See, this I can get behind. This would be an interesting plot development, as well as providing some character development for EDI.
Not to sound ****y or anything, but I wish that people would state their opinions more clearly when they post here. We've had several people start off by going "no Jokermance" and then, when questioned, they're like "well, I'm not really against it, but I have doubts/questions for reasons X Y and Z". It's much more productive and it makes us a lot less likely to jump on someone with mockery and derision that is better reserved for genuine trolls.

That's what the quotation marks are for. He's not saying she actually has a head.
As for everything else, I wholeheartedly agree on developing the other npcs! EDI grew on me as the story progressed because the devs seemed to ACTUALLY take their time with developing her. I'd also love to see romances bloom between npcs, for example, Jacob and Miranda, if I'M NOT going to romance either, why shouldn't they get a shot at rekindling this 'relationship' that Jacob mentioned? And before twits jump in and say OH MY GOD SEE YOUR TRYING TO GET IN THE WAY OF JOKER/EDI LURVE. Shove it. I shall proceed to mock and ridicule you for being an idiot.
And with the whole character development/relationship thing, I'm not just talking about romances either, platonic relationship development between npcs would be awesome (it'd also be awesome for Shepard...because I'M SO FEKKIN' LONELY ON MY GIANT SHIP)! Build the relationship between Ken, Gabby and Tali (is they don't get milkshake'd), maybe catch Kelly harrassing Garrus (if she also does not get milkshake'd). ME2 had so much potential and I feel they just...let alot of it slip between their fingers. SO HOPEFULLY ME3 will have such features, goodness I'd be SO HAPPY!

AMEN. More non-Shepard-centric character development/interaction would be awesome! I think I've mentioned this elsewhere, but one thing I liked about KOTOR II (not a BW game, I know) was the cutaways to various squad members chatting and interacting and arguing. I would love to see that in ME3. Hell, have other conversations be the reason they can't talk with you right now-- you drop in on Miranda, and Jacob's down there, and they're talking/flirting/whatever, and they're both like "uh, can't talk right now Shepard, leave us be plzkthx?". And then you would, naturally, hover all creepy-like while they continued talking, because apparently that is how Shepard rolls.
And I second the lonely Shepard feelings. I ran out of conversations with everyone pretty fast, and since there was

I was replaying Mass Effect 2 the other day and something made me grin like an idiot. Shepard and Joker have been reunited and the SR2 Normandy is being revealed. When Joker turned to Shepard and said "Its good to be home huh Commander?" all I could think about was saying "Home is where the heart is." Shepard and Joker are two misfits who only fit with eachother and the only place they have is the Normandy. 8-)
That's one of my favorite exchanges in the game. Joker's, like, beaming with excitement and happiness because he's got his ship and Shepard back and I always got the sense that if he could, he'd be jumping up and down. In my head Shepard hugs him shortly after the camera cuts away, because the feeling of... happiness, for both of them, is damn near palpable. It's so sweet.

I agree, But also when i spoke to Dr.Chakwas and how she's Shep and Joker's Mama-san (she cares greatly for them) I think it would be to see joker drink w/ you when yoou brought the Ice Brandy to Dr. Chakwas.

Chakwas is totally the Normandy's Team Mom. And I agree, I would have loved to have seen more interaction between the three remaining original Normandy crew members, especially since it's clear that they all have really strong relationships. Hopefully we'll get more of the three of them. It's really great how much development and depth Chakwas got, even in just the brief conversations you can have with her. If we're talking about seeing more NPCs interacting, with or without Shepard, I would love to see something with Joker and Chakwas.
Barring that: fanfic ahoy!

This is what I think should happen with Joker, he dies with edi on normandy 2 because he tries to save her and this time won't abandon ship, that should be the romance plot for Joker. Got something here I hope you'll like. On and off, as inspiration strikes me, I've been writing some fanfic called The Forgotten Letters. They're letters from the crew of the Normandy SR-1, written sometime during the two years when Shepard was dead. Slowly by surely, I'm making my way through the entire crew (or the named members, anyway). Each time I write one, I come stalk the support thread for that character, hehe.
And.. I truly am doing the crew, not just the squadmates. Today was our favorite Alliance Flight Lieutenant's turn. (I don't choose when I get to be inspired), and so I give you Joker's Letter
I hope it meets with y'alls approval.
Well, goddamn, Commander. Looks like you finally found something bigger an' badder than you?
Never thought I'd see the day. I mean, I sure don't speak Geth, and Tali ain't never given me a translator, no matter how many times I ask that girl, but you know, I don't think I need a translator to understand all those radio transmissions we heard every time we popped out of freakin' nowhere on their asses.
You just know it's all filled with Geth for "Holy crap, it's the Normandy!" and "Sh!t, sh!t, it's Shepard, we're so screwed!" I just hope every single freaking one of those sons of b!tches rusts. Yeah. Take that, ya freakos. Yeah, and yer mommas, too. Wait. Do Geth -have- mommas? I have no idea.
But damn, Commander. What the hell happened to you? One minute I'm strapping myself in to the pod with your shiny metal arse right behind me, the next you're like six feet away on the other side of what used to be a corridor and slapping the emergency release on the pod? What the hell? It all changed so fast, didn't it? Just like.. We come out of FTL and there's that big ass ship waiting for us. What in the hell was that thing anyway? Ain't never
seen anything like it before in my life, and the Normandy sure didn't recognize it either.
Stupid Alliance brass are saying the scanners malfunctioned. They've never seen a ship like that before
either, and they're scared. I can tell. I can see it on their faces. They're brushing it all under the rug, some freak incident, failure with the stealth systems, whatever they can come up with. Straws. They're clutching at straws. Jerks.
Eh, nothing changes, does it? Funny though. I was expecting to get yelled at by, well, everyone.. You know, for being the reason you had to stay behind, and all that. No one's said a word. Not a damn peep. Maybe they're all scared my ego's as fragile as my legs. Who knows? I woulda gone down with the Normandy. You knew that. That's why you came back for me. And now I'm here and you're not. I tell ya - Ain't life a such a goddamn backstabbing b!tch, Commander? Just like the Council, really. Good thing they're never gonna read this letter. Dumbasses.
Oh yeah, and in case I didn't say it yet - Thanks for hauling my crippled ass into that pod, eh?
