Shepard: Hey Joker!
Joker: Hey commander whats you need?
Shepard: Well remember back around about 2 and a 1/2 years ago when the normandy got blown up and I got spaced.
Joker: AHH! Yeah, I remember why bring it up now?
Shepard: Well before we go any further with this relationship. You need to apologize.
Joker: What do you mean commander apologize?
Shepard: Come on joker you know what for?
Joker: Oh, for trying to save the normandy?
Shepard: Ummm, no thats not it.
Joker: Oh, you mean the part where I got you killed.
Shepard: YEah, that would be it.
Joker:(laughs) Sorry commander, but seriously its just my opinion no need to go spreading it around.

I do hope that this gets brought up, but I would hate to see Shepard guilt-tripping him about it. I imagine Joker already feels pretty damn guilty about Shepard dying because of him (although I've always considered it partially Shepard's fault as well; seriously, she gets Joker into the escape pod, and then rather than diving in immediately after him, she just stands there and stares dramatically into the explosions), and having her add to his guilt by forcing him to apologize would just be kinda mean. What I'd like to see is maybe Joker bringing it up as a reason why it makes no sense for Shepard to be interested in him. Kind of a "what do you mean you like me I'm the one who got you killed and now you're flirting with me and what?"

I actually tried making another character yesterday and decided to see if the arguments that it was his fault hold up, and the only thing I thought of was "screw it Shepard, just get in the pod, you can watch the explosions from a window or something!"
I hope they use your idea. Just thinking of it makes me grin.

It wasn't Joker's fault that Shepard
died. It was the Collector's. Joker was being stubborn but it's not as
if he could have gotten out of the Normandy by himself. Even with
Cerberus implants Joker could only limp. Before those, it would be even
harder for him to get around.
See, that's the argument that I'd make too, but in my head-canon he'd still blame himself. "If I could get around like a normal person Shepard wouldn't have died, if I wasn't so stubborn," etc etc. Joker seems like the kind of guy who uses humor and a prickly personality to cover up a lot of insecurity and emotional depth, so he'd probably never want to admit to the survivor's guilt he's carrying around.

Heehee. I think that if they do a Jokermance, he's going to be completely blindsided by Shepard hitting on him. It'll provide the perfect set-up for Required BioWare Romance Scene #3: The "You Like Me? Huh. I Am Interested But I Need Time To Think About This" talk.

If Shepard was a year older than Joker before she dies...and she wasn't alive for those two years she was being rebuilt...doesn't that mean that Joker is now a year older than Shepard?
Or is she still two years older than him?
Ah, I've always been confused by temporal logic.

Depends on if you count those two years as part of Shepard's age. It's probably something that'd be unique to each Shep-- my main one, Alexandra, is resigned to the fact that she's now 31 years old, despite the fact that she never had a 30th or 31st birthday.

Would Cerberus have remade Shepard based on exactly how she was before she died? If so, technically Shepard is the same age. Like...she teleported into the future.
Or something.
I guess, though, that if something like that happened to me, and I still looked the same, I'd consider myself the same age I was before.
Just food for thought.

Heh. Maybe she can make up for it in really late, compounded celebrations. With Joker of course. ^^SarEnyaDor wrote...
She is both the same age, and two years older - her birthday did not change, she wasn't issued a new SSN (or the Alliance version of it) so for all intents and purposes she is 31, despite her body not living through those two years.

Yeah, Joker's a year younger than Shepard, so it's not a huge age difference.

I don't think osteoporosis is exactly the same thing as what Joker's got.Masticetobbacco wrote...
rommancing a cripple with super osteoporosis?
AWESOME
Vrolik's syndrome is the common name for osteogenesis imperfecta.
Osteoporosis can generally shows up later in life, and from conversations with him, we know this is not the case.
He indicates that he has had it all his life, hence osteogenesis imperfecta.
I'm hoping I did not just feed a troll in order to satisfy my inner teacher.
And, also, I am slightly in awe yet incredibly confused that you could both know and correctly spell osteoporosis yet not use correct punctuation or grammar and misspell 'romancing'.

My guess is they used Wikipedia and copied and pasted osteoporosis. Either that or they were just watching that Sally Field commercial and paused the TV.... I've seen him/her/it in other forum threads and most of their posts are trolling in nature no matter the topic.
Also, in other news, the new Ask Seth questions were posted, and yet again ours was not among the six answered. LOL So I send in the question *again*
