basically, I can't find Flemeth's Grimoire in Irving's Office, as the desk and neither of the chests are highlight-able.  Thus, I've either already found it by mistake, or I've accidentally broken the questline somehow.  What if I accidentally gave it away or destroyed it?  Is there anything I do to get back quest items that, for whatever reason, have been taken away?

Same problem here! I think I accidentally gave away that book. I'm too far away in the game to load it. Does that mean no morrigan quest for me?

Hate to say it but you can use a cheat to add both to your inventory.

i play on xbox 360 and cannot find the grimoire anywhere what can I do? I've gone to a vendor to see if I may have accidently sold it and haven't found it. Prolly because it has been so long since my original visit there. Is my only option to restart the game, is me giving her that book vital to the game?

I know this is an old thread but hopefully some one will help, I did the magi tower quest before I even knew about gift giving or morrigans side quest.... so when I cleared the tower(and I have cause I have gone back to triple check for Black Grimoire) I am sure I picked it up in irvings office did not think twice about it and probably sold it to someone right after or destroyed it if possible.... now I have gone back to ever merchant in the game(except for the towns I havent even been to yet) and all thier buyback menues are all cleared even when there are other random stuff that I have sold them and I have checked every thing else for sale and none of them have Black Grimoire....Is there any way I can get it back without starting all over please let me know thanks

Since this appears to be not a technical issue but a problem with something you've done in-game... I suggest you try the campaign forum...
