Favorite New ME2 Squadmate?

I can narrow it down to Mordin, Grunt, Legion and Thane though.
I didn't really like the Salarians much in ME1, but Mordin has changed my mind about them. He is such a brilliant character, intelligent, funny, tragic, successful, thoughtful.
Grunt was great. I like the Krogans anyway, but I really dug his coming of age plot, and how it linked him to the Urdnot clan and Wrex.
Legion was fascinating. He demonstrates so much complexity and thought that he made me feel more sympathetic to the geth and AI in general within the series. I'm really hoping he's explored more in ME3.
Thane is just ****ing cool!
My favourite squadmates in ME overall are Garrus and Tali, but they're not new to ME2 so...
Sorry. I haven't really answered this question properly at all.

Miranda's decent. Increasingly good dialogue, although it did feel a little reminiscent of Ashley in ME1. Professional doing their job moving slowly to emotional attachment and attraction with Shepard.
Please, no ashley miranda comparisons. miranda is clearly better in all ways.
I remember when ashley called me skipper i wanted to pull out my gun and shoot her in the face. xenophobic *****. good thing the nuke did it for me.

Comparing them is fine. I just have no idea why Ash would ever win. lol

The moment that I knew one of Kaidan or Ashley had to die brought with it a painful realisation...
It meant I couldn't kill them both.

It was a hard choice. In the end I realized something that made it easy. Ash wanted to die for me so I denied her that privilege.

It's funny, i picked him up last on my first playthrough, and i thought he wasn't going to have much to him other than just obsession over Shepard. Turn out i was wrong.
It's funny though, all throughout the first game you are fighting these Geth and never really understood why except for knowing that they were helping Sovereign. Then Legion makes his appearance noted and not only do i feel with the geth, but i sympathize with them also.
It was a very weird feeling when he kept saying that humans were a lot like them. I guess it's always weird when a machine compares you to their species.
In order from favorite to least:
Tali
Garrus
Legion
Thane 8O
Mordin XD
Grunt :- |
Samara
Jack D:
Miranda 8P
Jacob :-/
