There are some excellently written characters in this game, that's for sure.

I'd have to say my favorite and also top squad mate is Mordin, as many others have said. His dialog, voice acting, and physical nuance is amazing. I'd say he's the most realistic character in the game and he's an alien! He's also probably the only squad mate I feel as attached to as I did with my original squad in ME1.

As far as pure squad mate goes, Miranda ended up being the dark horse for me. At first I found her lacking, but after getting her bodyslam talent and with her leadership skills, she's a great addition.

Jack is also up there. Excellent back story and there's no denying the shockwave freight train.

For least favorite, I'd say Jacob, because he is over the top paragon and his talents are worthless. And Thane, who I just don't find compelling, and I can't understand anything he says when he goes into those memory trances.

 

I had  my  Shephard spec for Area Shockwave and Jack speced for Heavy Shockwave.... I would use them back to   back and nearly clear out a room... so much fun

Liking Mordin was no surprise for me, I liked talking to the STG squad in the previous game. So for my answer it would have to be Grunt.



I didn't like Wrex, and I did not activate Grunt on my first playthrough. Then I saw what I was missing. He does not whine and moan the way Wrex did, and his aggressive comments and behavior are actually quite funny and entertaining.

Legion and Jack were probably my favourite characters story wise, Legion was a cool insight into the other side of the geth while Jack was just misunderstood and turned out to be pretty cool. Garrus still my favourite overall though because come on, who does'nt love Garrus.

Favourite new character? Grunt. He's the first character that I've seen who seems to treat Shepard like a father figure, of all things. After all, we did practically 'give birth' to him. Plus he's just complete win, which helps too.



'Thank you, Shepard. You gave me purpose. Now, let's find something big to kill.'



Favourite overall? My Brogarrus, Duh.

I am torn between Jacob, and Grunt. Jacob just seems like a cool dude who could kick butt if hre needed to, and he says some cool stuff in battle. Grunt is just badass. Enough said. My first choice would have been Garrus(Archangel Garrus), but he is not new so yea...

For me it's Jacob and Kasumi. Whenever I take these two into battle, the enemy get decimated... Leigon also (Legion's widow FTW).



I hope they all return for ME3.

I like everyone else in the game ( except Jack, can't stand her ) but these 3 are my favorites. Mordin is by far the best character in the game, Miranda and Samara are more or less tied for 2nd place although Miri gets a slight boost because she is a LI candidate.

Oooooh. Tough one. I need a few more runs to play with all the squadmates and get a feel for them, but right now I'm going to have to say Legion, Grunt, and Kasumi. Each for entirely different reasons.

If Kasumi actually had a bigger role it'd be her in a heartbeat.

Since she doesn't though I'd have to say Leigon.... but the priiize... let's just go with Jacob.

Edit: I completly forgot about Mordin, he's awesome.
