Untrue. Tali joins you in ME1 because she couldn't turn her back on what was going on in the Galaxy. It had nothing to do with successfully completing her pilgrimage. She says this when she joins in ME1.

But personally I think she also joined because she was drawn to you. At least based on something she says in ME2.

No, she takes on Shepard's agenda over her own. Her agenda was completing her pilgrimage, which she put on hold for you.

    Sorry, but after seeing all the Tali threads, I just have to say- I like Miranda much better than Tali. I didn't care for her in the first game all that much, and I cared about as much in this one. That's not to say I thought she was a terrible character, I just didn't find her all that engaging. I much prefer Garrus. I don't understand why everyone seems to be uplifted by her character's "depth". It doesn't seem any more deep than any of the other characters. They all have their issues, and they all have their pros.
 
    Miranda actually has a pretty cool personality for a scripted, made up person. At least I liked it, since I enjoy the outwardly cold and focused characters. I thought she was a lot like Garrus, at least in the external mask her character used.

    Tali's mission was good, but it wasn't earth-shattering, sorry. Miranda's was about the same. She cried, so its not like there was no emotion out of her character ever.

     Not to mention the skill-set on Miranda was much more versatile than Tali.

All of you Tali fanboys are ridiculous. You don't "romance" Tali one bit in ME2. All it takes is one conversation with her and she's willing to bed you. There is NO romance involved. At all. None.



The other two LIs, you actually have to work at getting them to accept you. Jack is the hardest to work for.

I didn't think there was a codex entry that went that indept.

I like both Tali and Miranda however, if I had to choose I'd pick Tali.  That being said, I would like to see both of them come back as squadmates in ME3.  Since I wound up using these two the most it'd be a nice touch for me, and we all know Bioware catters only to me.

Tali tugs at my heartstrings more, and I prefer her romance because it feels deeper -- I am sure that's partly because she was in ME1 -- but I like Miranda too.

Miranda is pure sexy rather than cute, and her romance is a little like Jack's; you have to melt off her cold (or in Jack's case, insane) exterior before you find out that she is actually full of warm nougat-y goodness. I liked her a lot more after I did her loyalty quest and had some heart-to-heart's with her. TBH I like all the romance options in ME2, at least the female characters. Even crazy Jack has her allure. I haven't played through her romance yet, but I think it will be satisfying to break down that poor girl's defenses and make her stop hating everything so much.
