Hopefully one that:
A. Works.
B. Fixes the memory leak.
C. Fixes the crashes.
Can we get a REAL patch please?

the memory leak is a problem though...4GB RAM and an additional 6GB V-RAM and I can only play a couple hours before the whole thing freezes? no dice...

V-RAM? You mean disk swap? Why would you think that would be relevant? If the game has to touch disk swap, it's going to be ridiculously slow.

I played 9 hours straight on launch day, no freezes however I did experience a couple random crashes and only one non-random crash. The game is playable, be happy

Sorry this isn't totally relevant, but as far as I know, I'm the only person to experience this issue, and could someone please give me a recommend something for me to stop everything being tinted red or green while I'm in game? The tint occurs as the camera is moved around, but disappears when I bring a menu of any sort up. There are two links to pictures concerning this below:

If anyone has any ideas, then please let me know.

3 random crashes in over 30 hours now... not bad; what patch?

I wish I had only 3 crashes. I crash as soon as I cross the bridge in the Ostagar wilderness. Every time.

Note: Have never had a single crash, (haven't played yet since the patch). Have 4GB of Ram in Windows 7 64-bit RC7100. However: i had my page file disabled for a few days after cloning my hard drive (I didn't want the page file to be cloned) and forgot to re-enable it. With 4GB of RAM Dragon Age demands a swapfile or it can't run, and windows will shut it down due to lack of virtual memory, so for ywfn: it does indeed swap to disk, at least with 4GB. It's also fair to note 7-64 uses about 2GB (32 bit is about 1.5) and it may be that DAO simply wants more than 2. It hasn't made a very LARGE swapfile for me (rather, it hasn't caused it to rise much). My page file went to about 180MB when I ran DAO for an hour or so, I played about 3-4 yesterday, and it's around 350MB now. Granted I always have a lot of browser tabs open, and run skype, MSN etc. so I do a lot of other stuff. I don't think that's unreasonable really.

You are aware that making a patch takes time and feedback right? The game has only been recently released, its not even a week old yet. Give it time.

The patch worked fine for me, and I've had the game running for over 24 hours without any slow downs so either there is no memory leak, or my PC has infinite memory.

I get random crashes here and there. Lost a total of 4 hours or so of gameplay which isn't half bad. I make it a habit to quicksave after almost every large encounters (less frequently since I'm in the Dead Trenches and every fight is huge....) Its a problem which I'm sure will be fixed if its widespread, otherwise I'll live with it. Morrowind did the same thing and I beat that, so no harm done here. =P
As for you Keith, check to see that your video card drivers are updated, direct x is updated and that if you are on a laptop that the screen plug isn't loose. If all that fails, go and uninstall your graphics drivers and reinstall them. Had a similar issue with WoW back in the day.

I don't think that's a memory issue. I just played for 8+ hours straight on an XP machine with only 1 gig of RAM, and though I did have a slowdown at one point, it went away fairly quickly (and I didn't restart the game or the computer.)DragonShadow1987 wrote...

Only three? Lucky you. I get a crash about every 30 mins. Breaks any immersion quite totally.

I have been playing the game non-stop since i recieved my copy, and have expereinced no memory leak, or crash issues. Is it possible that its not a game issue, but rather a PC issue? I know that often, problems are PC side, but players are never ready or willing to accept that possiblity.

Hey, crashes is just not right, ok?
Most crashes are the result of memory leaks, or just bad coding, anyway it needs to be repaired.
