22, male, been playing computer games since 1997! still going strong! commodore 64er for a while, you can't beat the nostalgia of lemmings and old "strategy" games. oh and im English. Does that give me more persuasive skills?

C&C forever ;)

I'm 34, married with no kids (and currently no job). I have played games since the NES days, got into RPGs with Baldur's Gate. To me, the most important thing a game can have is a great story, a "hook", so to speak, to get me involved. Gameplay comes second after that. I have an xbox360 as well as a PC, mainly because i enjoy playing from my couch once in a while ;) I'm what you might call a "hard core" gamer, meaning i follow the industry, get involved on forums/websites, etc. Heck, i even worked as a tester for a while. No, it's nothing like Grandma's Boy, though it DID get me a cheaper wow subscription for a while. :P Also, it's a nice cheap alternative to my other chosen addiction. Throwing oneself out of airplanes for fun can get rather pricey at times ;)

I'm married to a lovely man who never played video games and probably never will (though i have tried to get him interested!). I think he's come to accept my gaming, though at first he was squarely in the "games are a waste of time" camp. He calls them "unproductive", which probably stems from his chosen hobbies, which all involve creating or fixing things (woodworking, photography, auto/motorcycle repair, etc).

As for me, being unemployed leaves me PLENTY of time to game as much as i want...i totally understand the whole "funemployment" phenomenon!
