Videogames are much like books, movies, or just about anything else that humanity has wrought: It applies to many ages and mindsets, it is just a matter of finding what appeals to you. Myself, I enjoy JRPGs, some WRPGs (Fallout 2, Baldur's Gate, but not Elder Scrolls), shooters, hentai dating sims, Mario's menagerie of platformers, Donkey Kong Country, and all kinds of other nifty things.

As such, I think that there is little need to justify the things that add to your life. All that really needs to be said is "I enjoy this".

22 years of age.
I went from NES to Gameboy Color to PC.
But most my games were given from my cousin.
Now that I have a bit of money to spend, I can buy one of these once in a long while-
DAO made the list as one of these games...

Once I get a regular income, I plan on indulging in more...
probably turn into an addiction...

Hmm... only 3 or 4 under 20 years...

Greetings, I'm from Finland and I'm 17 (November 20th). I started playing games when I was, if I remember correctly, 6 years old, and started with Command & Conquer Red Alert and Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver for PlayStation (1/X/Whatever they call it these days).

I've looked for, and played some of the "old" games, like Fallout 1 and 2, Postal, Grim Fandago and so on. I've also looked for a Commodore 64 after my Computer Sciences (That right title?) teacher told us about how she (Yes, she) misses the Windows 3.1 days. So far no luck.

32 here been playing games since atari 2600 days coleco etc :P Its a form of entertainment look at Modern warfare 2 FPS not my style anymore but it made over $ 500 million in sales its first week! Hollywood only wishes that they could pull that off with a movie. Video games are here to stay and I'm pretty sure I'll always have PC to escape on.

It is enchantment of a kind, yes.

In any case, I am in my early 20s and a citizen of the United States. Since a young age, I have played videogames - in fact, my first console was a SNES. I had the great fortune of having Super Mario All-Stars + World as my first videogame cartridge, it was a very happy bit of luck for me. :)

As one can guess, I have a strong interest in videogames as a medium, and I think the various educational works about how our videogames work and why they came to be is showing that the industry is beginning to grow up. I really hope to see how technology makes the world a better place for gamers and everyone else.

27 years old here, have been playing games for my entire life. I started with Nintendo, Sega Saturn, PS1, and now XBOX360 and PC. Memorable games from childhood: super mario bros and sonic the hedgehog.

Now married, my wife only allow me to play until 10pm on weekdays, and I arrive home from work around 7pm. So on weekdays I have only ~2 hours of game..... T_T

35, married, two kids. And yes, I'm female, and I get odd looks when I tell people that I play computer games. Feels kinda lonesome sometimes, like I'm some really weird phenomenon. But hey, why wouldn't women enjoy hack 'n slash? I have always played RPGs, and I'm not about to stop anytime soon! :)

45 but I still feel like 15 ... =)

I started late I guess... I was 32 when Diablo came out and I made lots of friends in it and kinda liked it. I'll be a legit/purist player forever whatever I play 'cause of those guys. I enjoyed many games through these years... even Ultima IX!

We have a nice bunch of friends that knew each other playing Starcraft in '98 and we became RL friends to the date. The GT's... It was crazy for the elderly in the building I live to see some 25 ppl, each bringing their own computer, from all over the country, for our first gathering together so we could play... Starcraft! ... looking at each other's face!

Then we moved to D2 and Warcraft 3. Me and a 55 Medical doctor (they call him House cuz he's just as a genius as that Laurie guy's role) are only one of them that really are into RPG's and played BG's, NWN's, Gothics, Lineage 2, Ultimas... some of them went into WOW but I never liked it so I kept playing amazing single player games like AC, TW, Risen and now DA:O.

We still get together RL and on battle.net for a Starcraft or War3 match and are anxiously waiting for SC2.

In time, I'm married to and my wife is known as The Zerg Queen, very powerful woman... I usually have to "stim pack" her between game sessions but sometimes she's more demanding and I have to "siege tank" her! Else she turns me into a broodling and gets really mad. Don't want her breaking my DA DVD now, do we?

no wonder this forum is so nice, there's that too many pre-teen/teenagers that just harass you, much like the other forums like gamespot.

37, female, married, & been a gamer practically since PC games existed (and a PNP player before that). I have laughed with friends over "Aren't we supposed to be 'too old to play games' by now?", but who WANTS to be too old to play games? Where's the fun in that?

Fortunately my hubby's a bit of a gamer, too, so I don't have to deal with living with someone who doesn't understand the occasional need to stay up all night long playing a new game.

21 years old in a week. I love Dragon Age though I have it for console. My girlfriend is having a blast with a female mage while i prefer hacking things into bloody bits. So it works out. :)

I'm 27 and have been gaming since I was a little boy and had a C64 (The Hobbit FTW!). I look a lot younger (like 18-21) and tend to act it too so video games really bring out the inner kid that remains in me (even though they are no longer a "kiddy" pasttime!).

Age is just a number guys, we realize this more I think as we get a bit older and see 27 year olds that act 18 and 18 year olds that act 27.

A number that means so much in real life but when you play its like pressing pause and off you go into fantasy land where you could 150 and no one would care:)

I'm 480 years old, divided by 20. For those that can't work it out, that makes me 29, been gaming since I played on my family's spectrum ZX, rubber keys that break after playing Daly Thompson's Daily Marathon too much, despite not being a good game. And only recently found out that Jet Set Willy was unwinnable due to a bug, all those years wasted. *cries*

23 years young!
I've been playing games for as long as I can remember, they even tought me the enlish language ;-)
The first game I remember playing would have to be wings of fury on the Amiga, hehe, makes me smile thinking about it. I got into RPG's when I was around 14 or 15 probably, the first of which i think was Nox. Never played any of the BG games and I don't plan too, they're now too old for me to get immersed. (Go ahead, lynch me :P )
