Congrats to the OP on the baby. You're a better man than I!

I'm 39, married, 1 daughter (3 years old). I started RPGs with Bard's Tale on the C64 at the age of maybe 15 and particularly enjoy Bioware's Games, which I almost all played and enjoyed very much. Bioware, you are an awesome team of developers! (Just couldn't resist saying that. :)

25 here, and the only trouble I have playing Dragon Age is getting my 28 year old girlfriend to quit playing that damn Farmville so I can use my PC >.<

Despite what Xbox Live communications would have you believe, many studies seem to suggest the majority of gamers are in their mid 20s.

And on that bombshell, I'm 24.

I'm 57.  Got hooked on text based games on Apple II+ in early 1980's and been playin' ever since.  Dragon Age Origins is best ever.  Looking forward to retirement so I can play all night again.

36 here, playing games like this forever. My wife and kids go to bed, i play on my self made rocketship of a PC until the wee hours of the morning and drag my butt to work and do it all over again.

I'm 28. Can't believe I'm actually fairly young on here! That's so awesome! Usually I think of myself as one of the old farts of the gaming world.

Bah, age is no matter when talking of games. My father, who's nearing 60 still plays when his wife lets him. Although he's only into FPS games, but that's matter of taste.

Also, 5 or 6 years ago I played Neverwinter Nights online with a retiree who was I think 65 or 67, he was an avid roleplayer and general gamer. Of course, his wife had passed so he had lots of spare time...

In any case, why should whether you play games or not be defined by age? Games are entertainment, much like movies and books. Do people tell you you're too old to read Harry Potter, or watch Cars just because they're aimed at a younger audience?

As long as you enjoy doing it, keep on doing

43 years old, Male, married with one child.  Too old my biscuits!  Just now going through my teen angst phase - no one gets a 43 year old playing video games, especially fantasy RPG's.

37 here, started with a commodore 64, looong time ago, and there is really no age limit for gaming, whoever brought that up deserves a mark of death, below the belt, arcane bolt and a death blow :-)

29 here. This is a form of entertainment that transcends age groups. Many of the older school players come from the BG/Icewind dale/Fallout era...I can spot them fairly easily these days, especially on these forums :)

24 year old college student, part time stage actor and musician. I haven't been won over by a game like this since Morrowind. And for the record; there is no age that is too old for video games. They're essentially just interactive books.

26 here and I don't plan on stopping playing anytime soon. I completely agree that we come from a different generation that video games have become a part of us. It's not really a "fad" that we are going through. If anybody says that your getting too old, ask them what they do for their free time and ask if they feel like they are getting too old for doing that.

I'm 32 years old and look at my gaming like anyone else looks at their respective interests. It's my hobby. I don't spend hours in front of the TV cheering on the 49'ers or Giants (just follow the box scores). I don't spend my time in a basement huffing model glue and creating complex diaramas of WWII battles. I don't wrench (in my off time). I play games. That's my hobby. That's all any hobby is. A waste of time that you enjoy. I enjoy gaming. :)

Congrats on the birth of your next party member... er, first child! :)
