Or.... you could just play the game as it is, and then go play with REAL boobies on a REAL girl... Just a suggestion.

Why not both?

Or maybe they wanted the love scenes as part of the story, and not just a bunch of alien ****** for horny 13-year-olds to ****** to?

I thought all the "sex" scenes in ME2 were well done, there doesn't need to be nudity, they were all done as tastefully as the ones in ME1 in my opinion.

You really want to see Garrus' bare ass?

...don't answer that.

Tali's scene didn't even have any skin. Aside from the questionable decision to hide her face, the scene was better for it.

Garrus and Thane are barely humanoid. That would've been creepy. Jack practically is naked by default.

I mean, it's hardly integral to the experience.

Don't get me wrong, I love ME2. There were just two problems I had, one way worse than the other due to it's consistency. That being I couldn't read the text basically at all. But that's not what this post is about.

Bioware caved in to those stupid conservatives and cut the nudity? Really? I was expecting a lot more considering where they went with the last game. I mean, it's not a huge problem really, but enough worth mentioning.

I don't really think it's fair to tease us with Miranda's unrealistically tight clothing and artifically created perfect body, or Tali as a romance interest, and not show us ANYTHING. Especially not even Tali's face. Christ, I had been waiting years for *that* one.

Thoughts?

There are a few threads on this, and I really couldn't tell you where the majority lies.  Some people liked the more emotional romance scenes.  I personally was disappointed with the comparison of Femshep to Maleshep (again... garrus.. headbump.. wth?).

This is a step to the big ME3, so I don't think they wanted to fight with the media.  This was the game to really get in the fans for the big finale.  I'm expecting much more involved romance convo's / scenes in ME3. ^_^

Maybe you should move to Europe? I hear it's basically the opposite there

Neither is the desired path.  How about we see a little less violence and a LOT more sexual imagery, considering that is what we ARE.  why is there a taboo about our own bodies?  why are people afraid to talk to children about sex so that they don't pick up their knowledge from video games such as this one, which their parents shouldn't be buying for them in the first place?

Looks, guys, I'm all for love and emotions. Seriously. But there's more to a relationship than that. Nudity and sex should go hand in hand with tender love and care.

I was really disappointed with this as well. The scenes weren't as satisfying for me, really. Not necessarily because nudity=better ("Ta-ta's are awesome!"), but just because tasteful nudity really adds an intimacy and closeness to the romantic partner that I just *didn't* feel in ME2. At all, really. :/

so.. thats not what the 15lbs hanging off my chest are?

hold on.. I need to make some calls, and perhaps draft up my will....

how I lived 30 years not knowing this... thank you good sir!

hehe, sillyness aside. I don't care much that they played it alittle tamer, however there is nothing I hate more than anyone producing anything to be pressured to be self cencered because they fear the fall out.

Because that would require them to be responsible parents?

Blame EA all you want, I will stand by my statement that side boob was not integral to the ME1 experience.

What are you talking about?! OF COURSE IT WAS!

But seriously, I don't think it really detracted anything significant from the scenes.

Well, what good is all of the violence in the world...unless it is tempered...with limitless sex!

I was mostly annoyed not to see Tali's face. Not bothered about the lack of nudity tbh.

Sheps gone through so much with her. They've make a connection where she's risking her life by being with someone for the first time. But us the player, don't get the real reward of seeing what she (and Quarians) looks like.

I was delighted to see the Quarians feature in this game. Considering Tali was the only one to feature in ME1.

Puts on "conspiracy hat"(all beit tinfoil), the media outlets, are only putting out what the(for lack of a better term), information "brokers" give them.

For too long, we the people, have been SPOON fed, only what the "Bilderbergs", want us to know.

Removes tinfoil hat,............goes to watch the news.

Keep in mind that for the first game they only had to worry about possible romances with 3 people and they could largely recycle the same scene for each one. In ME2 there are about 6 possible scenes with three of them being non-human. Why waste to many resources on that?

Besides, Jack doesn't wear a shirt to begin with, if you want some "nudity" there it is.

Mass Effect isn't even that violent apart from the occasional Dragon Tooth and that colonist that got turned into Reaper-Aid.

Most likely it's due to two factors... recession and popularity.. game companies need to make money and games are becoming more and more popular with a wider range of players.

.. As long as games remain an extremely popular form of entertainment the more geared they will be towards appealing to the mass market that buys their games so they can make more money. (hence why they should just go ahead and change this game title to Mass Appeal.)

We just have to wait until the trend ends or some new rogue gaming company comes along to challenge the ideas that everyone has that a game should be. But what's really funny is that controversy sells.. it always has. Yet most game companies either don't get it or have too many backers that they are scared of losing if they step over that line...not realizing they would most likely gain better backers if they did.

If anything, adding nudity would make it more mass market. I can just imageing a banner add with a half-naked Asair going "Play now, my lord! You can play discreetly forever!"

Everything doesn't always have to be shown. Like I've said before, in DA:O I would argue that they should because of the route they went, they should not have had the underwear and they should've worked on things a bit more. However, in ME2 I think the emphasis was on conveying emotion/stories so that the romances were more personal. *shrug* I could have done with seeing more of Thane, but said desire does not negate the fact that the Thane romance was done well.

I agree with this completely. I don't care that the scenes were made conservative (especially poor FemShep's) because I was just waiting around to see some alien skin. I care because the ME1 scenes felt a lot more realistic and caring and the whole "one last night" sort of vibe they were going for at the time. The ME2 scenes just felt incomplete, when they should have taken the feelings evoked by ME1's and raised them tenfold. I mean, jumping through a Mass Relay that nobody's ever survived going through to an area full of black holes and collectors? That should have been a much bigger final storm than Ilos was... and yet, with the "let's not tick anybody off" love scenes, my FemShep and her partner(s) could have simply being enjoying just another Friday night... not their potential last night together EVER.

Shoot, even adding in more convo before the missing love scene would have been a plus. We got a whole speech and confessions in ME1... what happened to that in ME2? For a self-proclaimed (constantly) suicide mission, nobody seemed that worried about living each moment as if it was their last.
