Maybe you should stop abusing pathing/targeting bugs, inga. Like the ability to see and shoot at a greater angle than the enemy when you are looking arounf the right side of an object.

Hardly susprising that am "i win button" lamer troll has to abuse bugs to win.

I don't think you understand what a BUG is.

Lol, that's not a bug, that's sight line. If in say real life you were in the military and an enemy combatant was standing there his arm slightly visible around the edge...you could shoot it but he could not shoot you due to positioning of his gun. In real life though, we don't have static health bars, and would react something like "OH SH*T I'M GETTING SHOT IN THE ARM" followed shortly by inability to use said arm, ducking for cover ourselves, and just in general not walking slowly around the corner throwing parts of our body into line of sight long before we can fire back.

From my own personal experiences playing airsoft and paintball and the like, having some of your body hanging out like that is quite common if you're not paying attention, something you compensate for intelligently when you take it into account. AI is too stupid to stop from throwing itself out there.

Also, hello again from Sock Toy.

So you consider rarely ever dying and soloing most of it "adapting"? Never res'ing my squad because I couldn't care less?

If you say so...

Well, yes. Once you get the hang of the game, having your squaddies around is really just a bonus. My soldier did pretty much all the shooting except when Tali occasionally chimed in and flung an enemy across the room with her shotgun.

I once blew up both Samara and Tali with the Cain while firing it at a Scion, and decided to revive them because I was getting low on health, anyway.

Also, Shepard's class is certainly a factor. I literally could not get any where with a Vanguard on Insanity, but I tore through Insanity like a force of nature with a Soldier.

I might try Vanguard next. Everyone keeps giving me a different tune though. "Zomg Adept is sooo much harder on Insanity!" Or class X is so much harder, etc etc. I'm really having no trouble with Adept atm. Will Vanguard really be harder?

That's a serious question btw. If you've played both I'd like to know.

Oh noes, you adapted to the difficulty, and demand Bioware make it harder. Insanity is fine.

It's not the point. I for one am not complaining, not demanding anything. The point is we can mod the game and I'm looking for ideas how to increase difficulty in a reasonable way for my personal needs. This topic proved to be plenty helpful. Some of course, like vhatever, like to come in here throwing insults and calling people "trolls" for expressing unpopular opinion. Guess freedom of speech and opinion doesn't exist over the internet.

So why not head over to the modding thread, find out how to modify the Coalesced.ini file, and change the weapon and enemy values to something that'll make the game more suitable to your amazingly awesome skills at beating games with no sweat?

Well to be 100% honest with you I'm not really expecting a difficulty increase for ME2. It would be very nice if they bumped it up a notch. What I'm really more interested in is having future Bioware games (ie: Dragon Age 2 and Mass Effect 3) have "Insanity" modes that are actually... hard...

While it's fun to have flame wars with people like vhatever, I'm hoping that someone from Bioware reads this thread and keeps this in mind for future games. ME1, ME2, and Dragon Age have all been big disappointments difficulty wise. I know I'm not the only one that feels the same way (I know quite a few people that would love these games to actually be very very challenging at the hardest setting).

Mods can significantly increase difficulty by many different ways. Slow down or completely disable Shepard's automatic health regeneration to enforce using medigel (when you are careless, you'll run out of medigel and die), make enemies regenerate shields, increase Shepard's cooldown, ... Plenty of interesting ways other then simply and brainlessly giving enemies tons of hitpoints.

I think it has to do with my exectations of the Vanguard. I played Vanguard because I wanted to shotgun stuff in the face and charge dudes. Both are next to useless on Insanity. Once in a while I obliterate something with a point-blank shotgun blast on my Soldier, but then quickly switch back to the machine gun and forget the shotgun ever existed for a few hours.

Also, part of why you're probably doing well with Adept is that it has Warp. All of the Vanguard's powers are negated by enemies with defenses. Playing a Vanguard on Insanity is like playing a Sentinel, Adept, or Engineer that never uses powers. You will basically never use the shotgun, and therefore the "Combat" portion of the Vanguard's specialization is virtually non-existent.

I might have to try Vanguard next then.

It's either that or take up my friend's challenge. Melee only Infiltrator. I bet it's possible (except for killing things that fly).

My ass it was.

ME1 on Insanity: Hold trigger till everything is dead.

ME2: Manage your ammo/power usage well, and stay in cover, or you WILL die.

Sounds to me like you are really bad at playing Vanguard. I play on Insanity and Charge all the time. I die very rarely, mostly because of "cant get a lock" 'bug'.

LOL. I solo'd nightmare mdoe in DAO. I was the first one to do it. You are one of those lamers with zero skill and zero talent who likes to pretend they do, that's why you play an infilatrator and why you say such dumb stuff, like assuming horizons is the hardest mission in the game for an adept on insanity.

Insanity is plenty challening as long as you don't abuse pathing/LOS bugs and don't play overpowered classes. you whine about the game not being hard enough when you play the most overpowered classes.

It's pretty easy to tell from your learned game knowledge manifest in your posts you are pretty crappy at this game.

ME1 insanity was easy as hell just spray bullets for longer then on normal until everything is dead, you could even stand out in the open while doing it, i dare you to try that in ME2 and have any sort of success, you will die

So Adept is overpowered now?

I doubt you were one of the first to solo nightmare mode in DAO. If you were, I'd like a 50 page thesis. Thanks.

Oh and it seems like you still don't know what a bug is.

As for being crappy at the game. I'm not the one that gets destroyed enough times by the Harbinger to make a thread about it.

Haha now you're definitely trolling.

Btw I cleared Tali's mission. Wasn't that difficult. IMO Horizon was still slightly more challenging (albeit not very hard).

Looks like all the trash you talk goes out the window as I progress through Insanity as Adept. Interesting that it's turning out like this.

Did you think adept was going to be impossible or something? No one told you adept was impossible to play on insanity. just that it's harder and definitely more boring than classes like solder/infiltrator. I never said tali's mission, I said her LOYALTY MISSION. Though her recruitment is one of the tougher ones for an adept. Knowing you, you will have to LOS/pathing cheat to beat that one,..

When I said her mission I meant loyalty mission.

You definitely tried to troll me pretty hard over Adept telling me to go play it. Not finding it very hard.

I love how you think LOS is cheating in a FPS. And you call me the bad player. That's just hilarious.

After long consideration I've decided that vhatever needs a good Gunpowder age shooter...you know...stand in a line facing another line and be a man with it...can't use those LOS exploits like rocks and trees. Gotta play the game how it's meant to be played...

All I know is vhatever would be terrible at counter strike. I seriously hope he's not playing modern warfare 2 either, and doesn't pick up bad company 2. He'll get very frustrated. Or think everyone's exploiting and feed the other team points (causing his team to lose).

I kinda hope he is playing them so I can shoot him from behind cover and see the LOS exploit rages =P
