The only part I really found "hard" was in the Collector ship (It shouldn't be a spoiler that you go there, they've been showing screenshots inside for nigh on a year) when the two scions and the Harbingers are out. Harbinger spams that damn sigularity to force you out of cover, and the scions get a clear shot, even if you can't see them.

There's absolutely no rule against doing it.

LOS'ing stupid AI is perfectly viable. Any intelligent player is going to do it.
Edit: To further clarify there are 2 types of "Hacks" in FPS concerning LOS. One is LEGIT and considered to be skilled while the other is not.
1. Wall-Peering (what I do vs NPCs in this game). This is legit.
2. Wall-Glitching - NOT LEGIT. This is exploiting a bug/cheating. I am not doing this.

To be 100% honest with you I don't think that increasing defenses/damage is the best way to go. Regenerating shields/hp like the player does is probably a great start. That alone forces the player to finish off NPCs quickly or run the risk of losing all their ammo.

Not with Coalesced.ini file. Maybe by messing with ppc files but ATM we don't have proper tools to do that. We can only extract ppc content but not put it back to the game.
Open Coalesced.ini file and:
Problem:
1. I don't like having an unfair advantage over the enemies. In ME1 enemies regenerated their shields. I wish they regenerate in ME2.
Solution:
- Search for [SFXGame.SFXShield_Base]
- Change bRechargeable=false, bFastCoverRegen=false and bAbsorbDamageOnBreak=false to true
- Add bRechargeable=false, bFastCoverRegen=false and bAbsorbDamageOnBreak=false to [SFXGame.SFXShield_GethEnergy] and [SFXGame.SFXShield_GethEnergy_Player] sections
2. Auto-regeneration feature takes away the challange from game. Not even once I really had to use medigel.
Solution:
- Search for [SFXGame.SFXModule_DamageParty]
- Decrease HealthRegenRate value or change bHealthRegenerates=true to false to turn it off completely
