Ah but he is no longer LT! Go go Commander Alenko! Woot woot!

/cough

Anyways Kaidan still has my heart. I'll soothe those migraines for you, baby. /kisskiss

Poor guy finally was starting to have a bit of a normal life again and WOOSH here comes femshep and just about shatters that right there. So he takes it out in anger, frustration, adrenaline no doubt still in his veins from the attack. I'm surprised it wasn't worse. Thankfully it wasn't. :)

I know Kaidan doesn't do it for everyone but I dunno... this guy has been faschinated with femShep since near the beginning of the first game. He had me when he slipped up at the Citadel while checking the view with Ash and femShep.

I want my Kaidan back. :) He's worth the wait!

What's a Kaidan? Is that some sort of fish? I thought there were no fish in the Presidium...

There aren't any, I asked the groundskeeper. This Kaiden thing clearly doesn't exist.

(On topic, I kept him alive on my imported GuyShep playthrough, purely because my FemShep saved Ash and I didn't want to cut him out of ME2/3 completely)

I'll bite! Current Shepard is paragon, and staying loyal to Kaidan. I liked Kaidan from the start; regardless of what went down on Horizon, he was the first person with Shepard on a mission. He had her back the whole time.

I can kind of forgive him for getting too close to the beacon and setting off a huge chain of events, but he did have the good grace to look worried about what he'd done.

As a migraine sufferer myself, I feel for Kaidan, too. There's a lot of things I can't do because of migraines, and it impacts my life constantly. For someone to actually work with that and keep at it says a lot about how much guts a person has, at least from where I stand. It can be crippling, and it takes someone with a lot of fortitude to cope with really bad ones. He could be resentful about being stuck in the Alliance because there's not much else an L2 can do, but he doesn't. He focuses on what he can do. I like that.

I admit I played through ME1 constantly bugging him to see if any other conversation options started up. He felt like a stabilizing influence, someone who mostly kept a cool head.

As for Horizon, my Shepard is from the sole survivor background. Akuze. She's got a lot of reasons to hate Cerberus. Why would Kaidan think any differently? Hell, knowing all that, he probably figures she's taken complete leave of her senses. But desperate times lead to desperate measures sometimes, and from someone with a strong Alliance background, that's likely harder to understand. It's probably why there's not human Spectres all over the place - all the ones with training are probably too used to working within the rules. I can understand Horizon from that point of view. Heck, I actually liked the scene on Horizon. It drove home how really screwed up it is to be working for Cerberus, how desperate the situation is that it's a necessity. It made it feel real, like there was a real mission, and real things at stake.

Then again, caveat: I'm a writer, and I love torturing characters. :D

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

It makes me so silly with glee seeing him get flustered once he realizes what he's said. :)

Ah Kaidan. You have my heart. Always.

Councilman Anderson also shares your love for Kaidan! He keeps a picture of him on his desk in the Presidium. This may explain Anderson's reluctance to divulge Kaidan's current activities.

I like Kaidan, unfortunately a thread like this probably won't last for very long. I hate that I'm in the minority because I absolutely love him. This forum has made me start to absolutely loathe Tali.

Yeah, I absolutely loved the way Bioware portrayed him in the first game and how he DID seem to like FemShep from the get-go. He's absolutely adorable and his romance wasn't just like thrown at you like most of the other ones in ME1 and a few of them in ME2. He was adorable after you saved him on Eden Prime and when you were looking out at the citadel.

I actually liked what happened in ME2 because it set it up well to finish in ME3, he got angry and upset because he'd thought you'd been dead and you were working for a freakin terrorist organization, then his e-mail was like ><. Especially the part about admitting to drinks, that was amazing.

But this forum is all about Tali, and you guys can jump off a cliff for all I care.

Its incredibly easy to miss. You can only get it by having both Kaidan and Ashley in your party during your first visit to the Citadel and clicking on a hotspot in the Upper Wards level (near where you meet Emily Wong the first time). I believe you also have to do it before you actually find Garrus/Wrex during your investigation.

Yeah he really does have the same photo on his desk that you do on yours. And it's always Kaidan, never Ashley. Who you're romancing or who lived/died doesn't change it.

Really made me laugh when I noticed it.
