Well I work in retail, so I think it would be very disturbing to potential customers and perhaps the most bizarre way of getting sacked. :innocent:

Cool! I am glad to find other people that like Kaidan. Yeah, I have a main female shepherd for my missions as well. I guess, that I am weird, because I like all the members of the crew.

To me that seems like a silly thing to track.  I mean, honestly, how many people here are Achievement OCD?  Huh?  Not to mention, how many people like to playthrough until they see every possible outcome?  I mean heck, we're human.  We're curious.  It's like a giant choose your own adventure book.  You don't think we're going to leave our finger on the page, check out our options and flip back if we don't like the outcome?

OF COURSE people who want their original LI back are going to stil have the paramour achievement!  Sheesh.

I decided before the game came out that until Casey Hudson's remarks about "statistics" were explained, I was not going to be getting the Paramour achievement. 

Watching the female romance scenes on YouTube reassured me that I wasn't missing some epic part of the game, but it's still annoying that I can't just make a character who reenacts a bad porn scene with Jacob for kicks, because I want to make sure my love of Kaidan is not  in vain.

I'm not really missing anything, but if they just let us know what info they're collecting, I wouldn't have to be paranoid about one silly achievement.

Everytime I come out, this thread has grown by leaps and bounds!

I think I'm spending a bit too much time obsessing about Kaiden.   Evidence:


.....Husband comes home, finds meplaying ME1, says, "ah...needed some Kaiden time?  He looks better on the new (big screen) tv, doesn't he? and goes out of the room snickering...

....Caught myself calling the dog "Kai Kai" instead of his real name.

....Found my self checking this thread at least 5 times a day for new pictures

...Spent the afternoon reading fanfic (btw, Michelle7 and Sweetpie - loved your stories!)

My hubby is well aware of my pixelated lovers.  He just deals with my endless babbling about them.  He's such a good sport that he even beta reads my fanfic for me! <3

Is this thread slow for once?  I pretty much just swoop into here every now and then as I simply can't keep up.  I have an 8-month-old little man and I devote much of my time to him.  He has really chubby cheeks, so he's hard to resist.  In fact--and you ladies may think this scandalous--he's even more irresistible than Kaidan.  There, I said it.

I loved the ending bit in the first one, when Kaidan looks all distraught because he thinks Shep is dead.  And then, when she comes running up looking all goddess-like, I love the smile on his face.  My Shep had better get some looks like that in ME3!  She'd also better get some serious sweet talking from Mr. Alenko.  How about some love letters from him until she runs into him again?  And definitely some tasteful nudity.  Come on, BioWare, I've been your loyal fan all these years.  I've fangirled over your pixelated creations time and time again.  I deserve some serious Kaidan payoff!!

Do you think pitting the ME dev team against the DA dev team would work?  DA dev team: You get an epic fail for the Alistair romance!  You offer me a funny, sweet, lovely man and I don't get a truly happy ending?  Fail, I say, fail!!  ME dev team: You hear that?  There's still time.  Give me some serious Kaidan and let him and Shep go riding off into the sunset together and you will win!!

No seriously, everytime I pop on fanfic.net now it's Garus fics.  Sheesh.  Remember when Shenko dominated?

Yes, I did mean yours Sweetiepea!  Love your stories!  Typo = my bad.  Your husband is a good sport. I used to write Baldur's Gate and NWN fanfic...  Husband was amused by the concept but wasn't really interested in reading it. He's a hard science sci fi buff when it comes to reading.

No problem.  I have a weird screen name.  I'm just happy that the fic I write for my own amusement is enjoyed by others as well!

My hubby tends to play all the BioWare games too, so he's an ME fan, KotOR fan, etc.  Fortunately for me, he's also the kind of guy who likes characters like Carth, Alistair, and Kaidan and he never ever calls them "whiny".  He's secure in his masculinity and doesn't feel threatened by the sweet in-game guys that drive us ladies wild.

I'm now contemplating writing a bit of post-Normandy explosion fic.  I enjoyed writing from Kaidan's perspective.  Might be interesting to write his take on Shep's death.  Oooh, angsty Kaidan.  That's delicious.  What's even more delicious is the thought that my Shep gets to help Kaidan get over his angst.  And how!

Yeah, ff.net is riddled with Garrus and Thane fics. I'm glad to see that there has been an influx of Shenko as well.



Anyone who wants to write Shenko should try it! We need more Kaidan love

I'm already annoyed by the Garrus or Thane fics which have a femShep dumping Kaidan after Horizon.  I guess there could be an interesting spin on this theme, but in all of them that I've read, Kaidan comes off as a moron.  BOO.  If I were at all interested in the fic before, this turns me off immediately.

More good Shenko fics, please!!!

I allude to the Joker angst a bit in my post e-mail fic, where I write from Kaidan's perspective.  And, just because you guys have egged me on, I'm now adding this project to my list.  There will be angst, so very much angst.  So much angst, that I will then probably also have to write a fic about the events on Horizon from Kaidan's perspective, just so I can incorporate the blown-up Normandy angst with the Shepard's not dead angst.

Yeah - we're all Bioware fans here.  My husband and son both have their own copies of ME, DA:O etc.  Actually, my son got so tired of having to share the Xbox with me that he bought me one for Christmas this year!

Would love to read an angsty Kaidan post-Normandy fic. Go for it!
