BECC4 you're just going to have to keep me informed about all this stuff...I didn't talk to many of the characters at all because I didn't  like a lot of them and I avoided the LI's because you just never know how the conversation is going to go. When does Miranda say this?

But I have no doubt they were going try and control Shep...Liara said as much...that they were going to use him/her for their own purposes(paraphrasing).

I don't think they'd use something like that for ME3 though...the focus will probably be more about the reapers.

Miranda says this at the very beginning of the game sometime when you talk to her, I'm blanking on where exactly it could be right before you meet TIM for the first time and her and Jacob are standing around, or on the Normandy.

That line was used  because biotics were often treated as though they were not human, and it was even worse for the earlier biotics like Kaidan because there was a lot of rumors and misconceptions about them.  From his standpoint it was one of the highest compliments he could give.

I talked to her a little bit before meeting TIM but I've never gotten that line...but then again I know I haven't chosen every option...She was even missing in one run through...a glitch of some kind.

I loved Kaidan's romance scene. I felt it was the most touching out of the three main LI's. Very well done compared to the crap Ashely was spewing out of her big mouth. "Captain my captain..." Oh lord. My male Shep wanted to be like "shut your face and get over here woman"

I interpreted it as referring to the fact that Shepard and Kaidan are battling an ancient alien race, are working with aliens, and it's all overwhelming and epic...but Shepard brings him "down to earth" with his strong attraction to her.  I love that line, personally.  And since Shepard can respond a few lines later with "you make me feel like I can take on the universe", Shepard doesn't seem to mind it too much either.

I like your take on it too, Michelle.  I hadn't thought of it that way before.

Kaidan is the best character in ME universe for me.

The only one without problems as if from brasilian soap opera

I really adore the love story between Fem Shep and Kaidan. I want to see a satisfying (and hopefully happy) conclusion to it in ME3.

Yeah, I always figured he meant that she made him feel like a person, not an L2 biotic. People fear what they don't understand. On top of that, given Kaidan's history, he's had someone look at him like he's a monster for what he can do.

I'd been planning on going back through ME1 to set up some new playthroughs for ME2... to get ready for ME3.

At any rate, I'd played through ME1 a lot prior to ME2's release, and I wasn't particularly looking forward to going through it again. But this thread is making another playthrough seem so much more palatable, since it's reminding me of all the cute Kaidan scenes I'll get to see again.

... not that I don't have specific saves in ME1 set up so that I can watch those particular scenes whenever I want. xD

Your right I didn't think  about how Rahna viewed him...that was one stupid, stupid, girl...no way I would have just walked away from him after he just saved my life. And he was beat up at that...I would been like..."My, poor Baby"

Oh, very much so! xD In trying to experience all of the game I could, I did end up romancing Liara and Ashley during various ME1 playthroughs. But that Kaidan pre-Ilos save file was always there, waiting to make up for the scenes with the others. xD

Hmm, speaking of Ra©hna, I've seen plenty of Kaidan-centric fanfics that feature her and/or Conatix, I wonder if Kaidan will finally get a quest in ME3 that deals with them. One of the things about ME2 that irked me was that I wished we had had character specific quests like the loyalty quests for every single character in ME1. I would have glady gotten rid of some UNC quests for a Kaidan quest.

A Kaidan Loyalty-ish quest would be fantastic. I'd love to see something where you actually got to help him have some sort of closure with Ra-whatever-her-name-is. Bonus points if she's somehow ended up some influential person who's maybe fallen into the wrong side of things and you get to help him talk her out of it.

Hahaha, I was thinking the same thing... but no matter how evil she is or how Renegade Shep is, I can't see that decision going over well with Kaidan no matter the reason. Otherwise, I'd totally want a Shep/Rahna showdown, too. xD
