LOL!  I couldn't agree more.  When I think about the statement I'm torn between thinking about what this type of statement says about the writers/producers of ME2 if they honestly consider these romances compelling and wondering over the level of hype that folks seem to think is required to sell a game these days.

This may have already been responded to -- I'm also about 10 pages behind on this thread at this point....... Haven't seen a vid on this but you have an opportunity to get this line if you've flirted with Liara.  At some point Kaiden tells you there's lower deck rumors that you're interested in her and asks about them.  Shep (correctly) deduces that the question isn't just about Liara.....

I often wonder that, too. Though, I never give TIM the base. He's out to secure his dominance in the galaxy, it has nothing to do with humanity, and even if it was just to further our own race's cause, that just clashes with my own ideals on so many levels. We should work together in harmony with the other sentient life in the galaxy, not dominate them. And the one save where I might have given it to him was my Renegade, she was on Akuze and kindly told him to go shove his ideals in a very uncomfortable place. Like the back of a volkswagen.

I could do without Thane, but my team has always been Kaidan and Garrus. Garrus has been there for my Shepard without fail every single time, and I honestly can't see why that would ever change. Now I just need to get Kaidan back in my crew, and I'm a happy girl. I'm hoping on my MainShep, there's some sort of confrontation between the two of them, cause I went for Garrus as my LI.

I just can't think of a character who would think it's a good idea, even ignoring the Reaper indoctrination thing.  My maleShep was on Akuze so has the same response as you mentioned above, my femShep renegade was Torfan but hates the way Cerb sets her up with false info etc so told him to shove it because he is trying to tell her what to do.  I will prob force a playthrough where they keep the base just to see what happens but seems like a ****** idea to me!

Maybe I'm weird, but the first thing I caught on in that topic was someone stating how Jacob is ludicrously proportioned when it comes to shoulder width and whatnot, and it immediately struck me as another reason why Kaidan was/is so much better.

My wife is a huge Ewan McGregor fan, and she gets weak in the knees for a scottish accent. Hence, Ken is scottish. It was later when we were recording the VO that someone mentioned the Star Trek reference. I face planted into my palms, then recovered by saying "yeaaahhhh, it's an homage. That's the ticket."

As someone pointed out on that thread, why are you even looking at the other dude's crotches. It's not like any of them were like Raiden's from the Metal Gear Solid series. The size of that buldge even made me feel uncomfortable. And thanks to MGS3, I cannot unsee the image of him in a thong. *shudder*
