I've stand completely loyal to him. Okay..uhm...mostly loyal. After my first try, because I never thought that there is a way to date garrus, so I've given him a try. But...it was not the same like with kaidan. Much more...emotionless. Damn, they are friends nothin more.

Kaidan was a very cool char and squadi in ME1. Never thought that he could show you the "darker side" of him once, but it's good to see that there is one

Yes, you can, but he becomes very xenophobic and pro-human.



I just started a new ME1 game to import over. I'm going Spacer/War Hero Paragon Vanguard that I will take as my official cannon.

Hmm, speaking of Ra©hna, I've seen plenty of Kaidan-centric fanfics that feature her and/or Conatix, I wonder if Kaidan will finally get a quest in ME3 that deals with them. One of the things about ME2 that irked me was that I wished we had had character specific quests like the loyalty quests for every single character in ME1. I would have glady gotten rid of some UNC quests for a Kaidan quest.

I doubt they go the route of having us win loyalty of squadmates again...ME3 will probably focus more on the Reapers with a bigger main quest than what ME2 had. It might be interesting if we hooked back up with him as a squaddie through some part of the main quest like when we got Liara in ME. 

As for Conatix...I'm wondering if Cerberus might not have come out of its ashes. Maybe TIM had ties to Conatix and after it folded he moved on and eventually became head of Cerberus.

To this day I still think there has to be some connection between Kaidan and TIM. TIM wants to put human's at the forefront and he thinks biotics is one of the ways of doing that...I would think he would have had an interest in the earlier biotics...Kaidan being one of them.

I wonder if he possibly knows about Jump Zero and what happened there or maybe was even a part of the whole setup....I don't know...just thinking I guess. With Kaidan's records being classified and sealed maybe TIM is not as aware  as I'd like to think but it just seems to me the man knows a lot more than he lets on.

I didn't like him renegade...it just didn't seem to fit him but I can understand why some people that want to play renegade with the pro-human, anti- alien bent would want to do it. He even tells you that you did the right thing if you killed the Rachni.

Who wants to hear THAT in bed? I mean something like "You make me feel alive" or similar but.. human? That was a huge turn off for me and I always slept with Liara after that.

That line was used  because biotics were often treated as though they were not human, and it was even worse for the earlier biotics like Kaidan because there was a lot of rumors and misconceptions about them.  From his standpoint it was one of the highest compliments he could give.

Oh I remember all that... but it still just... killed the mood.

I accidently flirted with Kelly. The "I'd embrace you" line. It was in the paragon slot so in my head it was like an "I'll always be there for you my friend" Yeah, that was awkward. <.<

It was the same with the whole Jacob thing, we became friends in the end, but my FemShep still seemed like she wanted to flirt with him the whole time. It was a little wierd.

Finally, I <3 Kaiden. And, apart from my little slip up, I promise to always stay faithful to him... in my main play at least (Thane and Garrus intrigue me:whistle:).

That was one of the things I wanted to know too...but your right...probably wont find out until ME3 and I have no way of knowing in which of my imports I turned him.

Well, what you did with Garrus didn't actually carry over into ME2. You could make hm paragon or rengade, and either way he ends up (technically) renegade.

This thread makes me happy =)  I love Kaidan! Seriously.... I have a screenshot I took of him and had it blown-up to poster size and it is now framed and hanging on my wall <3

I just can't resist him! I was curious about Garrus but it just felt wrong, I didn't even engage in conversation with him after the "relive stress" dialogue came up. Horizon pretty much broke my heart though but the e-mail made me feel waay better. But I totally understood where he was coming from... after thinking about it for a while, it was so unfair for Shep to ask him to go with her though. Like she was asking him to give up everything, his morals, carreer, reputation, and possibly his life ( since this is a "suicide mission"). I think he had every reason to act the way he did.

But I'm definitely hoping for a big happy ending (engagement/marriage)!!! I can't wait to see him again This wait is gonna kill me!

A Kaidan Loyalty-ish quest would be fantastic. I'd love to see something where you actually got to help him have some sort of closure with Ra-whatever-her-name-is. It doesn't have to be something so dramatic.... you have to be subtle, offer to buy coffe for everyone after the mission and slip a little something into her drink and a few hours after you leave the planet, you recieve a message that she unexpectedly and suddenly died. See? Kaidan would never even know....

The doctor is a whole other matter now...

Just want to add my Kaidan love to this thread! Out of all the Bioware LIs, Kaidan is physically the most my type. JOKER NEEDING US ON THE BRIDGE aside, he's really a sweetheart...and "Commander Alenko" sounds pretty damn sexy to me!



I just finished my first ME2 playthrough about an hour ago. My poor femShep spent a lot of time staring at his picture and re-reading his e-mail. Sometimes she'd drag Tali and Garrus off to Eternity, where they would watch in horror as she repeatedly forced the bartender to put more of the stuff into the...thing the stuff goes into before finally turning into a sobbing mess, frightening turians in the men's room.

BECC4 you're just going to have to keep me informed about all this stuff...I didn't talk to many of the characters at all because I didn't  like a lot of them and I avoided the LI's because you just never know how the conversation is going to go. When does Miranda say this?

But I have no doubt they were going try and control Shep...Liara said as much...that they were going to use him/her for their own purposes(paraphrasing).

I don't think they'd use something like that for ME3 though...the focus will probably be more about the reapers.

Miranda says this at the very beginning of the game sometime when you talk to her, I'm blanking on where exactly it could be right before you meet TIM for the first time and her and Jacob are standing around, or on the Normandy.

I talked to her a little bit before meeting TIM but I've never gotten that line...but then again I know I haven't chosen every option...She was even missing in one run through...a glitch of some kind.

When you're at the base after talking to Tim the first time talk to her before you go to the first overrun planet.  Ask her about the Lazarus project and she'll tell you that she wasn't in charge, because if she was in charge she'd have put a control chip in you.

I never liked her after that.  Funny, at the end of the game I had her in my squad, and she blows Tim off if you decide to destroy the collector base, and I was thinking "guess I manipulated her well enough", but still, never forgot her attitude/comments at the space station and never warmed to her as a result. 

I think you probably don't have a control chip in you, although it's possible. I'm far more concerned about what may have been left in EDI's chains.  Given a choice, I'd probably take the chance and unchain her.

I've decided to stay loyal to him on two playthroughs -- Paragon and Renegade (which I've also made him Renegade for my bad girl Shep just 'cause); and then on two more playthroughs, I'll romance someone else just to see how it'll turn out in ME3 for both Paragon and Renegade imports.



Other than that, I just wanted to show my love for Kaidan!

I'm not saying I spent time writing dialog in my head of what I wanted to say at the Horizon meeting rather than what I got to say... ... okay, maybe it did include the fact that I went directly to the Citadel after I regained consciousness not because I gave a damn about the Council deniers or Spectre status, but because I was trying to get in contact with him...



But I personally want to see him in ME3, and would pay for DLC involving him in ME2. I mean... I stop the 'heretic' attacks and have stopped the Collectors and I no longer work for Cerberus... and I still can't contact him? Gimme a break!



PS - anyone know what happens if you take Legion to the Migrant Fleet?

Yeah, renegade Kaidan just did not seem to work.  I never really actually changed him to renegade so I wouldn't know in full, but I've seen a little bit on youtube and I wasn't overly fond of it.  I mean, it was Kaidan and he's awesome, but renegade just  didnt suit his nature.

What do you see in the 'epilogue of ME3?



I see my Shepard (Renee) happily celebrating 15 years of marriage to Kaidan.



Shepard still serving faithfully as a Spectre with partner in crime, Garrus also a Spectre.



Kaiden either CO of an Alliance warship or possibly a instructor of a biotic training program on the Citadel



Shepard and Alenko would also have two kids.... a charming boy and an adorable little girl

Marriage? Haha. I hope the ydo an epilogue, that would be freaking amazing... I doubt it. But it would still be pretty cool. I guess they could do like they did in DA:O, but I'd prefer actual scenes.

Not me, no cheating. If I romance anyone in ME2, I'll probably have there be no existing romance from ME1.



I guess it's probably not even cheating, given the situation, but the game considers it such so yeah.
