Clearly the picture of Miranda was from a 6-yr old's POV. No wonder the view is all T&A!

I just changed it when he wasn't looking. In his mind, girls should not have boy avatars. It's kid logic, I can't argue.
I love MS Paint threads, but they need to be clever AND purposely bad.

ugh...I have to go. The hubby is screaming, "who just shot me? honey, where do I go next?" What am I ? A game guide? He did the same thing when ODST came out.

Hahaha.
People get me to do the same thing... it's always "where do I go?" "Which should I pick?" "Where can I find ___?"
My brain absorbs these things then I have to regurgitate them to other people -.-

And Michelle, your new story was intense. I don't blame Kaidan, and I hope the ME1 LIs do act disgusted if Shepard moved on that fast. It's nice to see characters acting realistically, and I don't see why they'd just be a doormat about this.
In the same vein, I'm kind of sick of those who act like they are looking forward to rubbing their new romance in the old LI's face. Mostly I've heard people expressing that about Ashley in regards to Tali, and it sounds more like good old fashioned misogyny than anything else...but I don't know why I'd be surprised by that on this forum...
Thanks.
I hadn't heard anything about anyone rubbing Ash's nose in it about moving on to Tali. Geez, You'd think they would have just been happy to get the romance they had been waiting for.

There was a thread on that particular scenario (since, ya know, Ash is a horrible xenophobe and Tali is perfection) a few days ago, but it was luckily buried. I just wonder what kind of relationships these people have in real life, if they can't empathize in the slightest with a fictional character. Yeah, it's not real, but it wouldn't cost you anything to spare a little sympathy for them...

lol... although I admit it's really nice to have someone knowledegable nearby even if the game guide is sitting right next to one.... Case in point...last night I couldn't remember or figure out a particular xbox command, so I texted my son (sitting 2 rooms away from me). He came over and rescued me. I love that kid!

Okay, so apparently my husband forgot to activate Legion and thus didn't get a chance to do his loyalty mission before the collectors attack. Also, apparently he will get very upset if he finds out he was to go redo the IFF missions becuase of that and i don't think i'll go in there until that mission is finished... so I'm back in time to say this...TeenZombie wrote...

I would hazard to guess that the same people who hate on Ash, are the ones who live in the constent TERROR of ever offending anyone. These are the people who are afraid to even address people of different races, religions, nationalities without consulting an ettiquete book three times becuase someone might get offended.
Ash is blunt, forthright, or candid however you want to say it, but she is NOT racist.
And yes real life convo in real time

Interesting that it's the Tali people again that's saying such things. They seem to come across as the kind that not only think their character is the best but that everyone else has to see it that way too. So they beat all the other characters down.
And I agree Fort...it would be interesting to see both Li's dumping Shep in ME3 if he/she cheats. Karma.

Me: *facepalm* Weren't you listening?!
Husband: oh....well what does it say.

It went on like that for numerous situations.

Yeah, this started for me with Dragon Age. I felt like a mobile Prima guide for a while. I finally pointed him to the wiki, which has helped out on the constant peserning front. He hasn't started ME2 yet, so I am awaiting the, "Honey, I thought you said you could change your appearance!", "What's the best gun to take down armor?" and "Do you remember where the extra clips spawned in this level?" Though every time I start to get a little cheesed at this, I remember all the times I pestered him when I was first learning proper care and feeding of a PC. And it is nice to feel needed.

I did interpret his email as meaning that he was still a little unsure and sort of thinking out loud...I think Kaidan is one of those guys that when it comes to emotional matters, he's trying so hard to say the "right" thing that everything comes out a bit jumbled.
I can relate to that as I've a tendency to do the same...especially around men that I'm attracted to...if I'm just friends with a man, I can BS with the best of them...but for some reason whenever I find someone attractive (unless I already know them well), I turn in to a stammering goober...
I took the email as something he just sat down and wrote out without really thinking about what he wrote...I agree with some of the other ladies here that he likely thought that he'd gotten over everything (or was at least on the road to doing so) and then he gets a punch in the gut when he realizes that she really is alive and working with one of the most hated organizations in the galaxy...perhaps he really wants to tell her how much he still loves her, but is unsure about whether or not she still loves him, and he's concerned that Cerberus might have done something to brainwash her or something...
In my estimation, Shep was the "one", they were kindred spirits. soul mates if you will....and he's scared, never really stopped loving her but is very unsure as to what's really going on...I feel that he and Femshep (despite their dedication to their respective missions) are both extremely weirded out by what's been going on.
We've talked alot about Kaidan's point of view but in thinking about Shep's for a moment...damn, what a cluster**ck!!...... one minute your spaced and everything goes black....then in what seems like seconds to you (i'm guessing), you wake up on a table inside a lab that's being attacked by crazed mechs...everything that was familiar to you is gone, the one person who meant the most to you in the bloody universe is nowhere to be found, ya' gotta fight your way out and then you find out that you've been rebuilt by terrorists and your expected to play detective, then hero to the galaxy again whilst the council still refuses to believe that anything is really going on...and then of course that great love of your life screams at you and treats you like public enemy #1 for things that aren't in your control...
She maintains her strength and composure and will do her best, do whatever it takes to stop the collectors and save whatever and whomever she can in the process, but there's gotta be one hell of a storm going on inside her heart and her head....of course I'm thinking about my Femshep here, I'm sure that other's might feel their Femshep's take things differently.
In my particular ME universe, neither of them have moved on and even though things are desperately crazy, I don't think it's possible for them to really move on...not after the intensity of what they had...Kaidan still loves her immensely, and she still loves him, but things are complicated, things have changed and while I've no doubt that they'll get back together, I think it's going to take some work and some serious patience/understanding from both sides.
I can as I said before, understand how some might interpret the email and Horizon/ME2 scenarios as indicative that they and Kaidan/Ash/Liara have split for good and they've moved on...I didn't feel that way, but I suppose if you looked at the email really closely and depending on how you felt about the characters from both games, it could go either way...that's why I LOVE RPG's so much...you play as you want to play and can tailor your characters and their motivations however you like...gods bless Bioware
