Wow...someone actually created a poll specifically about Kaidan? And that person wasn't one of 'us' ? WOW...despite a lot of the stupid as hell choices, they....made...a...poll...about...Kaidan!
I swear he's never gotten this much attention before hahaha. I feel like hugging the guy, go Kaidan!

You know, reading (mostly just the topics because I fear what's actually IN the thread) some of the threads on this forum about romances makes me happy Kaidan is 'just human'.

When the call went out for a Garrus romance, I was like "Garrus? Wow, love the guy...but um, how's that going to work?". Meaning in my mind I couldn't see human and Turian anatomy working. Can't really kiss him or give him a proper hug, he's all plated and spikey with a huge chest. I tried to picture Shepard and Garrus and couldn't.
Bioware had problems with it too judging from the romance they now created.

Same goes for Tali, the way Quarians are designed. When the call went out for her, I wondered how they would go about the whole suit thing and not diminish the story they created for her race.

It made sense to me that Bioware created an alien race specifically for their female gamers to romance, the Drell. They gave Thane kissable lips and a human form that would animate whatever lovescene they had in mind a lot better. For those who wanted an alienmance, he was it.

A lot of people on the forum are displeased with Garrus and Tali and how Bioware handled it. But how else could they? Reading all that frustration just made me sooo happy Kaidan is 'just human' and can be animated however Bioware wants it and easily. I think it takes a whole lot more time and thus resources to create a scene with Garrus than it does with Kaidan, which imo, is a good thing.

The only, somewhat, smexy scene femsheps got in ME2 was Jacob after all...and guess what..he's 'just human' as well. So all the whines about humans being dull and bland make no sense, because they get all the yummy scenes hah!

Just a different, shallow way of looking at things while my mind is diving for the gutter again...hehe

Edit : Which makes me think about the romance options for malesheps..Miranda, Jack and Kelly....humans! Funny!

Well the fact I just read firing the big gun in ME2 gave some a hard on...yeah...that pretty much confirms it. Just like this thread does. Wonder why mods allow such posts.

I actually go into the Tali thread once every few days, just reading the last page to see what they are talking about since that thread seems to be flying. This time I wanted to grab the popcorn because it was like a soap in there.

Don't mind it though, that's their thing and I'm sure there are some genuine character fans in there too. Besides, it makes this thread seem...sophisticated. Despite us going all crazy at times, it can never compare lol Permission to post more nekkid Kaidan :innocent:

Nope, like I said before I'm sure there are some genuine Tali fans in there too. Don't have anything against Tali, but some of her fans are creepy as hell.

My issue has nothing to do with how fans express their devotion, I think the pics, e-mails, hell even the doll to some degree (although was a little creepy) are all brilliant and the sense of comraderie (sp?) is fantastic, the reason we have taken issue with those select few is the hate they have chosen to throw our way for no other reason than we like Kaidan.  I support Kaidan and Tali for ME3 but there are many that have become so obsessional that in their quest to diefy their own favourite they feel the need to bash any other characters the percieve to be a threat, which in itself seems silly to me, I like most of the characters, Kaidan just happens to be my favourite.

Different ways of expressing yourself? I'm all for that, but some cross my personal boundaries and that's when I think something goes from being a fan to being creepy. And again, not generalising but these boards can spiral way out of control at times.

Anyway, not going any further with this discussion here. This is all about Kaidan. Speaking of which.
