Well the fact I just read firing the big gun in ME2 gave some a hard on...yeah...that pretty much confirms it. Just like this thread does. Wonder why mods allow such posts.

I've rarely seen the mods on here since the game release. There are a few posts here and there but they are few and far between. I guess they are busy working on the DLC's and ME3. However I do believe they did shut down the porno group the other day or at least there was some guy who posted a thread that it wouldn't let him join and I think someone else said they had shut it down. So they are there just not as active.

ETA: we are now 4 members away from 200.

I noticed that they've made one community member a mod for the ME forums...but I haven't seen him post at all since he's become a mod.  So maybe they need to get a few more mods in here, or people just need to PM a mod when offensive threads pop up to get some action.

A lot of people on the forum are displeased with Garrus and Tali and how Bioware handled it. But how else could they? Reading all that frustration just made me sooo happy Kaidan is 'just human' and can be animated however Bioware wants it and easily. I think it takes a whole lot more time and thus resources to create a scene with Garrus than it does with Kaidan, which imo, is a good thing.

The only, somewhat, smexy scene femsheps got in ME2 was Jacob after all...and guess what..he's 'just human' as well. So all the whines about humans being dull and bland make no sense, because they get all the yummy scenes hah!

Just a different, shallow way of looking at things while my mind is diving for the gutter again...hehe

Edit : Which makes me think about the romance options for malesheps..Miranda, Jack and Kelly....humans! Funny!

Kind of makes me wonder though... have you ever seen a Turian female? *insert horror mystery music here*

Since I was asleep during this whole exchange, just my two cents:  I'm sure that the regulars in the Tali thread are cool and mature, but the last time I ventured in there, this was the first thing I saw...

  UHH...yeah, I know it's not your fault, and you can't moderate who comes into the thread, but stuff like that is where people get bad impressions of Tali fans. 

Also, I like Ashley.  I hate that they made us choose.  It wouldn't be very nice if they made Tali fans choose between saving her and your second favorite character, would it?

You cannot deny that there is some very creepy stuff going on there... from borderline rape fantasies, to downright sexual abuse, were it "only" in writing... hey my friend, it starts somewhere!

Kinda makes you wonder if the devs might regret making Tali a LI since it's only gotten worse since they did.

I was thinking this morning and wondered if anyone thought that maybe some of the cameo with Kaidan was a Bioware commentary on Kaidan haters.



I mean when he was talking to Liltith he says something along the lines of "Is that why everybody hates me?" and later the guy that is nagging Shep about not saving Lilith and says something about all the people being taken and Kaidan is the one that gets left(or in his case saved)...reminded me of saving him on Virmire...like that guy kind of represented those that always wanted to nuke him.

People love a mystery. They can twist it into whatever they want. I like Tali very much, but anytime you create a character who is not only a semi-blank slate, but also has a very particular vulnerability some of the people attracted will be nasty characters. i.e. Those who like vulnerable people because they are satisfying to dominate.

All that said, I enjoy reading the Tali thread as I enjoy this one, and the vast majority of the posters are benevolent and very humorous and don't take themselves too seriously.

I have to admit that I have always liked Tali. She's like a kid sister for my femShep. She's the sort of friend you want to shelter from some of the harsher things. I avoid all the Tali stuff normally because I don't want to have her character ruined by either side of the coin.



Course, I really hope they don't unmask the quarians. I like their suits and ambiguity that it gives them.

Could very well be, like the line he says about not wanting to Whine in ME1. Which was a clear reference to all the hate Carth got about being so whiney.
