Okay, since everyone now thinks we hate Tali, (which I don't get.  Of course we like a cool, sassy, independent, intelligent chick who totally looks up to my FemShep to the point she wanted to link suits)  I'm going to paraphrase myself (cause I'm that egotistical) from another thread as an olive branch of sorts.

Tali, is the best of all alien romances.  With both Garrus and Thane, the risk is to Shepard and that risk is minimal.  So Shep might be allergic to Garrus, have an EpiPen on standby.  Oh no, Shep is tripping and has an annoying rash.  Well, we're already in the bedroom. Sleep it off.

But with Tali, she assumes all the risk, and that risk is her life.  It's by far more romantic than "blowing off steam" with Garrus or giving Thane one last throw before he dies.   Even more so becuase it is implied heavily that this is her first time. 

So with that, go in peace Talimancers.  Here, take some pie with you.  We have cherry and apple. 

And on a completely different note:  JUst got my N7 Hoodie and it is SWEET.  The smalls are a little big though.  Warning to anyone else ordering.  But it's not chincy at all.  The inside is really nice and fluffy.  No, Chris Priestly is NOT giving me kick backs.  I'm just putting the word out there.

maybe if you had some blueberry wed get along haha

'cause I hadn't been asked for one yet.  some time ago someone compared the forums to a bunch of people huddled behind cover throwing pies at people who liked different characters and someone else said that was a waste of pie and that we should just eat the pie in the Kaidan thread.  then i started posting random pie pictures everytime someone came in here and started a fight/debate depending on the maturity of the poster.

so give me three seconds to google...

I really hated how Jacob called me his prize it is a big like wtf moment. I so wanted to slap him after that, and say I am not a prize to be won. God that scene was, so corny it really bugged me. I feel that Kaidan romance ending scene was so much better than the ending with Jacob.

Sure, that works. But you'd have to include something about what the community actually includes, so that people are interested in joining. Teasers are good, a promise of actual content, something about what you'll find.

(I have a lot of years promoting random stuff in communities, tis all, you can of course take or leave any advice I have on the topic! )

Also, back in my day before I learned about the joy of fonts, I was a big papyrus girl, too. I eventually turned to font surfing and kept hundreds of different ones on hand, which is really useful for projects. There is no shame in papyrus, it's just overused.

I like to think that everyone would join just for Kaidan, but you know, it's good to know if you're jumping into a random den of rabid fangirls, or, uh, a not so random den of random fangirls that has pictures, art, and fanfics?



One of my fav fan communities was actually Swooping is Bad on LJ, just because they had so much STUFF up there, and LJ makes it easy to tag (I really like that we can have threads for things in the community, and that people are keeping them clean in a similar way).



... man I miss the days that I knew how to draw. Maybe when no one is looking I'll try to draw Kaidan.

To the design world Papyrus is, to put it simply, the n00b font. Everyone and their brother uses it because it looks different and special compared to the other common Windows standard fonts. And thus when it is used in a serious manner, such as for movie titles, it implies that the person behind the design is too lazy or ignorant to find a more respectable font. If Papryus kept to minor things like community flyers and sig banners, it would not be such a hated font. But people have abused the use of Papyrus to the point that many people, esp those who have some knowledge of fonts, see it and cringe.
