Yeah, I remember the first timed I had played Me1. I had found out you could romance on my second play thru, and then I went straight for Kaidan.

I searched for a Wrex support thread... seeing as Kaidan is the next highest thread compared to Tali (w00t). I swore Wrex was more popular than Kaidan, maybe I was wrong.
If there is one, point me to it, so I can try to get my favorite Krogan back for ME3... Not that I didnt like Grunt, just missed Wrex.
We are AWESOME! Really, if we are active enough to make even one person question the arguably most popular character's actual popularity...epic win!

Lol I didn't Liara was also romancable by Shepard. I thought I was just being nice to her and then I ended up with an awkward love triangle in my 1st game.

I took my brother's advice and played renegade because it was 'way awesome to be a jerk'. And I did it and I felt so bad that I was being mean to the cute guy with the puppy eyes.

Well, I mean, he should have known better. I just can't stand that look he gets.
Honestly, it should have been Williams in both instances.

I knew a lot of spoilers going into ME2 so after my meeting with Kaidan again I was waiting for my email. Apparently he couldn't be bothered to email me though as I guess he was too busy rebuilding Horizon to apologize to his bestest bud. I would have enjoyed the "no ******" email myself.
I just wanted to post here because I feel I'm one of the few males who actually like Kaidan. Hopefully in ME3 I can get a bromance option to hug/high-five/slap ass/or what have you. I'm contemplating doing a second run-through of ME1 and can't see myself sacrificing Kaidan for Ash this time either.
As for the whole ME2 relationships are "Sup, let's get freaky" thing I didn't feel it was like that at all with Tali. Having played ME1 helped with this because I felt I had a connection with her (Garrus as well) because she was with me when I took down Saren. But as a male Shepard in ME2 during her loyalty mission she says stuff in her logs along the lines of "I wish Shepard were here" so it made me feel as if she really cared for my guy. In the end the sex scenes may basically be "Let's get freaky" I felt that, at least with Tali, there were conversations and pieces of dialogue that made it feel more substantial.
Anyway back on track with Kaidan. I support a bromance option with Kaidan in ME3.

The only problem I had with Kaidan in ME1 was that his dialogue options didn't start until after you completed one of the major plot worlds. The reason I decided to keep him alive was because I found him a be a more interesting character than Ashley and I always feel like the" main" male NPC character in a BioWare game is my bestest bud in the world.

I agree my male Shep always keeps Kaidan by his side and I support a bromance option too!

It would have made sense to... it was a rookie mistake, and he's a Staff Lieutenant...
I couldn't bring myself to do it though. Too saddening.

Well, it wasn't like he was banging on it or kicking it. He really didn't have any way of knowing that just getting close to it would cause it to activate. And I bet he felt horrible when Shepard was out for like fifteen hours afterwards. I couldn't be mean to him about it.

Yes, yes you are.
But really, nobody had idea how the beacon worked. All he did was a lean in to get a better look.
Plus, when you tell Kaidan that's not his fault, you get that cute little half smile.

I'm totally am, you're right. I'm the one who has video uploaded of choosing to let Alistair get executed and dumping Thane and turning down Liara.
Someone has to make these hard decisions so you all don't have to!
