You know, after seeing some of the society's Shenko vids the Kaidan romance seems much more beautifully done than I originally thought. The ongoing story and drama are lovely. It's just such a shame all the material we have so far is from two games combined, because the amount of it could easily have been from one game alone.

Anyway on a lighter note, I visited Harkin in Chora's Den in ME1 to have a talk. Anybody else notice that when Harkin hits on you and you say 'Maybe later', Kaidan's head jerks up in the background to look at Shepard. Thought that was funny

Well yes, but that's kinda the problem, you see, I had my bf asleep next to me so was trying to laugh silently with the occasional snort I couldn't stop, only it was more of an uncontrollable fit, my bf woke up to me shaking, with tears streaming down my face, he was very worried and then seriously pissed when he realised what was going on!

Lol I didn't Liara was also romancable by Shepard. I thought I was just being nice to her and then I ended up with an awkward love triangle in my 1st game. 

I was caught bu surprise there too... but luckily in ME1 you get the clear dialog choice: "I'm not ineterested in you, in that way Liara."

Nothing better to clear the air than just say it, is there I miss those options in ME2,
with Tacky-Leatherboy, fishman, silicone girl, lizzard-cop and disfunctional-angry-chick. Not to mention your "assistant."

The times I just wanted Shep to walk up to the cockpit, grab the intercom and shout: "ALL OF YOU GET THE @#$&! OFF MY BACK!!! I'M TAKEN!"

Kelly's a plant, nobody is that nice, she has an agenda, TIM knew you'd break away (if choose that path, if you don't he still wants to keep his eye on you) what better way to spy on you than to give you a 'friend' or 'lover' if you'll take it?

I'm deeply suspicious of nice people

Good thing the Ken the engineer romance for femsheps was cut then, he could have been a spy! I knew letting you win that poker game was suspicious, hmm..hidden agenda, most likely involving haggis...yeah, that's it. Besides a character based on Ewan McGregor could mean a world of trouble.

Ken isn't super sickeningly sweet like Kelly, if he's a spy, I'd go Alliance but don't really see it, although Haggis is also deeply suspicious, I mean who would choose to eat stomach, stuffed with stuff, I mean ewwwwwwww!  That's not normal!

Just teasing you a bit. But I disliked Kelly despite her being so nice, she scared me. Always felt like she was checking me out, felt her eyes in my back when I ran past her....creepy. Was even reluctant to talk about Kaidan to her, figured she would launch herself at him if given the chance. Didn't want to even put him on her Love radar, that thing already worked overtime.
For some reason I can totally see her sneaking into your cabin while you're away on a mission, touching the picture of Kaidan, your old helmet, sliding her hand over your sheets....crrreeeepy.

That's just me though

Ah, now there's an interesting thought. If you make Kelly a smoothy, perhaps we can get a male assistant instead. One with Zevran's voice actor, because it'll be hilarious to hear him tell me I have new messages or hear his comments.

I can see it now, Jacob files a complaint about sexual harrassment after Shepard approached him for a 'talk' in the armory. Our assistant notifies us and then adds "Why aren't you the saucy little minx." Yeah, that would make my day

 I always leave the consort till a bit later in the game too, just to hear Kaidan get all jealous.
