I've played ME1 so many times leading up to ME2 that I'm really struggling to get through it right now. Kaidan is the only thing that keeps me going currently, love how that works ;)

Dozing off while running around the Citadel and I keep clicking on him to hear his voice. I love how he goes "hmm" whenever HE wants to be clicked, makes me chuckle each time.

So I figured I would do the Keepers scan thing and walked past the 'relay statue' and spoke to Kaidan....I adore his line of "It makes my teeth tingle" ...dunno what it is, but it's so adorable lol

While I can't wait to import this Shepard into ME2 on my Live tag, part of me makes me wonder if once I'm done with ME2 with this specific Shepard, I'll replay ME2 again with a different class or something. Because, like I said, Kaidan is a big part of the Mass Effect fun for me and he's not at my side in ME2.

And now I feel all shallow for allowing a LI to dictate the amount of fun I have in a game. But oh well, it's just how it is for me. How often can one re-read his mail in ME2 and find some sort of comfort in it anyway? Not that I'll consider a new LI or anything, I just won't play ME2 all together.

Kaidan has some teeth tingling powers I tell ya! ;)

There is nothing wrong with what you're saying, Jho.

I actually started my first Renegade Shep and I had a hard time deciding if I was going to play male or female. I ultimately decided that I would rather have Kaidan as a LI so it was basically the deciding factor.

Hell, I am struggling to finish my Dalish Elf in Dragon Age right now because I am not romancing Alistair with that character. He's the reason I zipped through 2 playthroughs the first time, and I have a feeling that if I were romancing him, I'd be happier with the game - but alas - I decided that I just had to try the Zev romance. I think I've grown out of my bad boy phase because Zev doesn't do anything for me.

Yeah, when it comes to replay value, having relationships with the party members does matter to me, too. I think this is the first Bioware game where I just am not interested in running through every possible dialogue option with several of my companions...and the ones I would like to know better are female, so I'm not even given the option of having a friendship with them.

So my choices are to keep replaying and feel dissatisfied or just put it away until ME3 is almost done, and see how I feel then.

Same here, there's just something uncompelling about these new characters, maybe it's just me but I just don't feel like friends with them - perhaps I should give ME2 another runthrough, or perhaps I have been too spoiled with all the wonderful characters in Dragon Age.

Well glad I'm not the only one. Part of me wishes the Horizon mission was pushed back a little further so I would  have something to well.."look foward to" while replaying ME2. Then again who would look forward to Shep's dialogue options on Horizon eh? :(

What are you talking about?  We have the forgiveness email to indulge ourselves in and later, if we aren't tempted by other characters (which is really hard<_<) we get to watch Shepard stare longlingly at an angry looking Kaidan picture.  What's not to look forward too!?

You know, after seeing some of the society's Shenko vids the Kaidan romance seems much more beautifully done than I originally thought. The ongoing story and drama are lovely. It's just such a shame all the material we have so far is from two games combined, because the amount of it could easily have been from one game alone.

Anyway on a lighter note, I visited Harkin in Chora's Den in ME1 to have a talk. Anybody else notice that when Harkin hits on you and you say 'Maybe later', Kaidan's head jerks up in the background to look at Shepard. Thought that was funny

I always leave the consort till a bit later in the game too, just to hear Kaidan get all jealous.

Wait, he actually gets jealous?  I've always done her quest too soon, then!

I started a new ME1 game but as soon as I hit the Citadel I found that I just couldn't go any further.  It was jsut too much of a struggle to get through the damn place.  I start off with the intention of having a renegade Shep but I find I just can't do it, it just feels too alien to me (with the exception of shooting that ExoGeni guy on Feros).  I can't even imagine trying to turn Kaidan renegade, he's just to sweet for that.

Know what you mean with Dragon Age.  I tried romancing Zev once but he just creeps me out.

I'm on about my 9th playthrough of ME2 and its really becoming a struggle - just finished Horizon & been yelled at, lol.  I find that I'm really struggling to maintain interest now once Horizon is done.

I started a male shep in me2 who is just renegade moslty for the same reason... it just doesn't seem to make sense to play my femshep in ME2.

I dl'ed the clothing mod, so taking my femshep for another round will be more fun... (YAY she no longer looks like a sherman tank!) still, it's not the same.

So.... I'm on Horizon again and something REALLY bugs me about it. Kaidan Alenko who is supposed to be good at electronics (right???) can't get the turret's targeting systems online? Really????

Because I show up (as Shep) and it takes some minutes and boom! Systems online! Is EDI that awesome? Guess so. I get they needed to give us something to do, but I figured if anyone can get big arse guns online it's Kaidan..... lawlz..

Inuendo aside, did this bother anyone else?

Awesome point !!! You are right! What, he can set a nuke, wich none of the salarians were able to do, but he can't calibrate a simple weapon's system?

Hmmm Michelle's theory becomes more plausible with every day

There are a lot of inconsistencies in the game...someone was saying something about Kaidan being a Sentinel and having an assault rifle...I think he could only fire pistols in ME. Course they might have changed that this time around...I really wasn't paying all that close attention to that pat of the game...just taking whatever they gave me and shooting whatever moved.

Same for me, playing my ren maleShep , he's a w*nker who's trying to bang everything that moves, which isn't all that difficult!

Don't really feel like taking another femShep through Image IPB

He did have an assault-rifle, becouse I equipped him with the spectre gear for my video.

Okay, yeah I remember that...but I think the comment the guy made was that as a sentinel he wasn't trained in it whereas Ashley would have been. I think that's why the guy was having a problem with it.
