That's right, he did say that!  I also notice in watching the opening vid (just watched it again) that Shep appears to enter atmostphere and begin to burn.  There's an orangish halo around her as she's falling towards the planet.  I would also suggest that finding her on the ground would be a lot easier than searchin for a body drifting in open space.  I can't quite see Liara having the resources to fund a space search.

Woot woot!! Just finished uploading my Shenko music video:

The quality might be a bit crappy as it's still being processed since I checked, the song is I don't Believe You by Pink and this is basically the thoughts that went through my Shepard's head after seeing Alenko on Horizon.
