TeenZombie,

That is one scrumptious avatar you have there.

I wish there were an official Kaidan avatar for the forums here.

I played the Horizon scene again and caught myself watching his butt, now that's an Avatar I'd love to stare at all day Image IPB

Of course TeenZombie's is great too

LOL, I wouldn't mind a Kaidan booty avatar, but I do browse this forum from work occasionally, that would be fun to explain to co-workers.  :D

Your probably right on the Cerberus/Alliance thing...I keep thinking DAO with Werewolves/Dalish elves and so forth. Might even come down to Geth/Quarians...I also would side with the Alliance...even left off the Cerberus operative quest when I found out that not doing it might weaken Cerberus.

Yeah the pics of his butt have got the most comments in the KA Appreciation Society.:P

What I really miss in the game is a chance to talk with other people about Kaiden. You can talk a bit with Kelly and say something about Kaiden beeing a good man. But it had been nice if someone like Garrus(who most likely knew what was going on between Kaiden and Shepard, the crew of ME1 can't have been that blind) could have asked after Horizon how Shepard was feeling. Just a chance for my Shepard to express that she still loves him.

Agreed, which was exactly one of my annoyances with the Dragon Age ending as well. For some reason, beside the last dialogue you'll have with Thane, asking Shepard how's SHE is doing is a big no no. No human being can go on the way she does, taking such emotional hits without any reaction what so ever. Said it before in another thread, I know she's the hero, the tough gal, the butch spectre, but please give her a 'flaw' as well.

At least with Kaidan in ME1 you could talk about events, such as losing Jenkins.

Oh boy yes!! This thought passed through my mind a few times, why does Shepard always have to be the shoulder? Pretty sure she needs a rather broad shoulder herself, another reason why I couldn't handle Thane. Kaidan seems to provide emotional support more then anyone else, would LOVE it if the dialogue and expressions in ME3 shows that Shepard depends on him (or her if it's Ashley) for comfort.

Savior of the Universe is still human so show it!

I am here!

I have been stalking you all. Doesn't that sound lovely?

Anyway, I adore Kaidan. He's all about getting the job done, but retains a strong set of morals. One thing that always impressed me was his ability to deal with his migraines. I get them when there's a change in the weather and I end up passing out for 14 hours or so. But the man simply hunches over a brightly lit screen in a hot area of the ship. All I can think is, "Doesn't that hurt to look at?" and "Why arent you curled up in a corner with your head against the ship's cold metal walls?"

I think a lot of people that dislike him and call him a whiner misunderstand him. He seems like the type that wouldn't complain to the point that would be detrimental to him (eg: his migraines). Kaidan brings some concerns to Shepard's attention, and I don't think it's because he's wanting to whine. One needs to keep in mind that he's one rank below Shepard, and probably third in command on the ship. He and Shepard need to discuss the mission and the issues therein to make sure that they're communicating. It's part of being a team. Kaidan wouldn't be doing his job if he didn't discuss the problems with the Council with Shepard.

Also, Kaidan is ultra yummy.

Since you mention that it's going to be interesting how that develops since they are the same rank now, he doesn't have to tip toe around her when it comes to talking about his concerns, and no jokes about serious breaches of protocol.

I have an idea about how they could incorporate the return of Ash/Kaidan.

When you ask TIM about them, he says that their files are surprisingly heavily classified. Why would this be the case? He was able to find out about everyone but them. I wonder if they have either been made into Spectres or if they're super secret black-ops.

If Shepard decides to rejoin as a Spectre, I could see Ash/Kaidan being sent along to 'supervise'. It would appease the members of the Council, and Shepard would be able to have someone they know on board.

At Star58.  OH DEAR GOD!  NO!  Shep/Kaidan's story can never be the travesty that was the end result of Indy and Marion.  Come on now.  No babies!  Only the steamy biotic sexy times!  (at least for a few years)

:kissing:

Great pic Lady Winde!

Re Indy/Marion:  what I take from the Bioware comment is simply that Indy and Marion got back together in the end and if Bioware is saying that ME3 will be handled similarly but better then my thought is that it seems to imply that Shep/Kaiden get back together.  And no, not with old age and babies but with sizzle!  Indy/Marion romance was what it was because of time passed in movie series/actors age.  I doubt ME3 would be set that far into the future!!!!

Celyanae I agree with Jhosephine, I think the doc was his attempt to try moving on and failing. In a round about way I think they were trying to show that he was still hung up on Shep. It was kind of a shock that was in there though considering that he seemed so hard to 'woo' in ME...kinda came across as the kind of guy that didn't date a lot in the first place...and he had friends...I got the impression from Chakwas he was a loner. It might also be possible that whoever was responsible with designing the email wasn't as familiar with his character as whoever wrote him for ME...someone said they even had a different head writer this time around.

On an off note: Glad to see I'm not the only one in the over forty crowd that loves Kaidan.

heh...no you're not the only over-40 in this group.....  Actually there are a lot of us playing games (marketing stats indicate that around 45% of gamers are women and the largest percentage of them are over 40.) Image IPB

I got the feeling from the email that he was already shaken up just by being sent on a mission to see if the rumors about Shep's reappearance were true.  I took his reaction as self-protection.  He's been hurt before -- in ME1 he talks about it as having a few dings -- after his teen experiences with Rana, with being biotic (and therefore very different from others), etc., it isn't surprising that he'd be hurt and wary.  And hurt people often lash out first.

I'm hoping though that in ME3 that Shep will have a chance to actually talk a bit about her feelings and reactions as well.  I'd like to see a real convo with the two of them acknowledging what the other has been through like in DA where Alistair asks the PC whether she's lost anyone and then apologizes when he realizes he's been so focused on his own feelings he's forgotten that he's not the only one in the room.

Ooh good one! I wonder if the Alliance and the Coucil probably tested Alenko/Willam's loyalty on Horizon to see if they would easily cave to Shepard and by association Cerberus, and seeing that they didn't they would be trustworthy as supervisors. It ties in with Shepard confronting Anderson and asking him if he's spying on her, and he pretty much says why yes I am..

But then again IF Shepard comes back to the fold in ME3, would they still have grounds to keep an eye on her?

After joining with a known terrorist organization, I'd say that yes, they very much have a reason to keep a close eye on Shepard.

This is what I liked about DA there seemed to be a two ways communication with the LI asking about the PC feelings.  I hope there will be more of this in ME3

And he might need to come up to Shepard's cabin, to make sure she's not sending off secret messages on the terminal up there...

Just good to know I'm not all alone...just before the game release a lot of people left forums to avoid spoilers...that particular age group seemed to dwindle...I stuck around...don't mind being spoiled...besides it prepared me to face the big Horizon 'incident'. If I hadn't known what was going to happen I seriously don't think I'd have been able to play anymore after Kaidan's cameo.

Fortunesque Glad to see you made it.

When I'm all done in a ME2 playthrough I fly to Horizon and end it while orbiting the planet. I'm guessing he's down there and if he isn't it's where I last saw him at least.

I know, I've got it bad >.<

This ... with less Alistair-ness B) There were a lot of game relationship events that happened in DAO that needed more dialogue. For example the Landsmeet and Morrigan's offer. There should have been real follow up.

There REALLY needs to be some dialogue here between Shepard and Kaiden in ME3 about Cerberus, about her death, about everything.

And make-up secks.:o lots of it.

I archived all my other messages, but kept Kaidan's email in the "inbox" on both my playthroughs so far. I copied a video someone made of the Horizon reunion to my iPhone. I'm even checking fanfiction.com for new Kaidan fics all the time, which is something I never was that interested in before.

...yeah, I know how it is to have it bad for Kaidan. And the two year wait for more will be maddening...

I too love Kaiden, i think out of all the characters his story is more realistic, more whole. It fleshes the character out, he is a voice of reason and i found that in the first game if i ever got worked up by a battle he was a soothing, calming person to talk to, he had a good sense of humour and he genuinely cared for Shepard. His reaction on Horizon was that of someone who did care, someone who knew Shepard enough to know that what she was doing was so completely against everything she stood for. I swear to God that if Bioware exclude him from the first one i may just have to make a real life Cerberus and destroy them lol. I may go and write a note to Rafael Sbarge.....

*looks for pen and paper*

Yeah the pics of his butt have got the most comments in the KA Appreciation Society.:P

That quest actually gives you the option to send the information to Alliance (potentially crippling Cerberus in the future), keep, or give it to Cerberus. I chose the first option. As for that butt, we've all checked it out. Again and again and again.

Really...I may go back and do it if I can stick to Cerberus. Might actually help Shepard reconnect with the Alliance in ME3...they'll realize he/she can be trusted.

That's the same thing I did, as far as the email goes.  I've only read one fanfiction, but still... I read that email so many dang times, and I saved as close to the Horizon encounter as I could, so needless to say, I've fought than dang ship many times... annoying.
