(and every time someone joins the Kaidan Alenko fanlisting, I get a mail on my phone, and I quietly squee about it, heh)

Don't squee quietly, let it out!  Look at the shirtless Kaidan pic, that always makes me squee!

Say for instance, I get the mail in the frozen food section of the grocery store. Or while in a meeting. Or in the bathroom at work. I mean, that could get pretty awkward. :D

... or it might just become hilarious... hey...!

lol I'd hate having to explain that one to collegues or even most of my friends. I can picture this: "So, is there something you want to talk about, everything all right at home?"

I hope should I to do something silly, like go to work, or eat or something, someone, somewhere can take my place as halk-naked Kaidan poster?  Would hate to miss a page.

Energy legs?  Tell me that was a powerthirst reference and we can be friends forever.

Lol I realised about half way through an explanation at work about how computer game characters can be appealing to adults that everyone already thought I was strange so now I don't even try to hide it anymore!

I liked Kaidan because my main femshep was almost fully renegade and yet he still fell in love with her, still thought she was something special. I was convinced she was going to end up a loner but he didn't mind the reprimands, the sarcasm or the brutal murder of various NPCs. (He's a sweetheart like that.)

I ended up really enjoying thier dynamic, it was like a reverse cliche of the tough brutal macho man falling for the kind, idealistic girl back home that reminds him what he's fighting for. For my Femshep, Kaidan is the temperence to her chaos, and for all her aggression and rough persona, that little moment before she headed into the Omega 4 relay when she looked at his picture on her desk and smiled, it was that little glimpse into her heart, just totally perfect.

I'm sure as a Paragon that Shep/Kaidan is very sweet, but now I couldn't imagine playing the romance any other way. :)

That's kind of how my main Shepard turned out as well. Kaidan's influence made her think more about others and she slowly changed.

yeah it makes my shep sound like a right ***** but she had 2 paragon bars full on ME1, shes not all bad. still, usually you have to play as a very ''good'' type character to get with a good guy love interest, it was nice to see that changed up i thought. :)

yeah absolutely, it was a nice switch up, it doesn't often happen in games (in my experience).

I absolutely agree; it is about how willing we are as parents to be role models to our kids.  My husband and I did and do look at what our kids (and their friends) are playing and we talk about it.  Of course our family motto is "Families who game together, stay together."   Posted Image

As my family sat around the dining room table, with three computers, playing Mass Effect 1 and 2 and showing each other random things. :: cackle ::

Unfortunately, my family doesn't share in the Kaidan love; both being male, they off him and boink Ashley or Liara. :( They make me sad pandas.

Males typically don't love Kaidan.  My boyfriend does like him, though, he actually killed Ashley in favor of Kaidan, and didn't have a romance til ME2.  But on that note, everyone keeps saying Ashley's apology email was better than Kaidan's, does anyone know what it says?  I don't have a romance Ashley playthrough because I never COULD kill Kaidan, so does anyone KNOW?  I wanna compare...

*giggles*  My family also sat around playing DA:O, ME1 and ME2.   My guys are ok with Kaiden (and Alistair for that matter).  None of us are terribly fond of Ashley. They ususally romance Liara and keep Kaiden on Virmire.  If anyone knows what Ashley's note says, I'd love to know as well!

She starts spouting poetry at you, and mentions that she reads poetry at night like she does to her dad for your dead body.

It was kinda sweet, in a disturbing stalker kind of way.

Okay, seriously, we're going to have problems if I have to wait a whole year before I get to see Kaidan again. That one little cutscene...not enough!

Any ideas anyone?

Playing ME1 over and over and scouring fanfiction.com.  And this thread will ease the pain, also.  But DLC would be oh so nice...
