Posting to show my support! I really hope he'll returnin ME3 as a crew member and my FemShep will be able to develop a more mature relationship with him! Yay character development!

I was actually glad to see that Liara had grown up in her two years away from Shepard. She drove me crazy (and not in the good way) in the first game.

Back to Kaiden, though... I'm so looking forward to that reunion in ME3. I sincerely hope that there's some sort of option to tell him (mostly teasingly) that he was a bit of a jerk back on Horizon. xD Yelling at FemShep for not telling him she was alive. Hello, she was dead for most of those two years! Shoot, the very first thing my FemShep did was run to the Presidium to talk to Anderson to try and find out where Kaiden was. Stupid top-secret mission.

And Anderson was a total fail.  Yeah, I can't wait til ME3, I can't believe it could be 2 or 3 years for my Shepard to be able to hug him and then punch him in the face for scaring her like that on Horizon, but the email was a nice touch.  But still, he does deserve a bit of teasing/reprimanding for that.  After all, Shepard WAS dead.  Hard to contact people in that state, but that's after a spaz session about how much he was missed.

I come in peace.  I'm a fan of Tali, but honestly I like most of the characters, Kaidan included.  He is a really good guy.  From my male perspective he is a lot like Jacob; pretty much a nice guy with nothing really to dislike about him.  I suppose for some people that makes him bland, but I like characters that seem like people I would get along with if they really existed.  Unfortunately I am usually forced to blow him up on Virmire (I can't bring myself to bomb teh wimminz)

Good to know that Alenko has a following too, though.
At least you can be secure in the knowledge that you guys have a better chance at a good romance conclusion than the Tali lovers, since Kaiden is one of the original "canon" romance options for femShep.

It won't be that long.
Bioware has already come out and said that they're sticking with the same engine/graphics, and that they are going to make the time between 2 and 3 much shorter than 1 to 2.  I understand that they're aiming for Jan 2011 -- one year.

See, Tali fans should be more like you and I would have never stopped liking her.  I think she has a great character and I think you don't need to worry about not having a good conclusion to the Tali romance, if Bioware did that to her fanbase it would be a huge disservice.  They gave them the romance, why not let it end well?  I will be sorely dissapointed in Bioware if they shortchange any of the romances.  I wish they wold just keep new romances out of the third game altogether, they already have a ton to work with.  I guess maybe if people are holding out for someone amazing in ME3, but... yeah.

Anyway, I don't hate all Tali fans and I certainly don't HATE Tali, I just started to resent her because of all the dang threads.  And yeah, Alenko has a following, just not quite as big... and a little... quieter.

You're not the only one.  Most of the girls over at the Garrus fanclub that I belong to feel the same way.  Not that I dislike the guy, but that email doesn't make me feel ANY better after being branded a traitor (among other things) by the guy I thought was my bro.

I, for one, was glad for the email. It didn't make everything immediately better, and I'm sure my FemShep, realistically speaking, is still ticked, but, as the player, it made me somewhat happier. Mostly because, I spent all of Horizon waiting to see Kaiden again and hoping that he wasn't going to be killed, hoping for anything other than that... and then I get it, and what I got was actually worse. *LoL* It actually made me sad to play the game for a bit because I really did feel both like I'd betrayed Kaiden and been betrayed by him.



So, really, excellent writing by Bioware right there, since that's what we're supposed to be feeling then.

What they -really- need to do is keep the whole Intercom idea, but make it so that calling your LI up to your quarters leads to better animated cuddling AND an option to watch the (hopefully put back in) love scenes again. Not the text leading up to it, as that would be weird post-game, but the stuff like the kiss/crawling on the bed scenes from ME1. Something similar could be thrown in at any place, once you've hooked up with your LI, without being odd. And really, why is it SO hard for Bioware to let us watch this stuff multiple times (Dragon Age, I'm looking at you!)? It just needs to be a trigger in the code to make that cutscene come up again. I would think that'd be simple.

Well, I would pay for more DLC if Thane keeps kissng my FemShep like he did in that romance scene. It'd be something entertaining to do while I work at least (formatting books = deadly dull at times).

Oh yes, on topic: I do like Kaidan, but blast it, that drell assassin won me over. Oh well, as far as I'm concerned  (a cured I hope) Thane and Kaidan can fight over my FemShep in ME3.

I don't know why I like him. He just seems so mild mannered I guess. I mean, the most I've seen him fly off the handle was the ME2 reunion. And that is saying A LOT, considering a lot of L2 biotics are complete lunatics.

Best Tali fan evah. I'm about the same with Kaidan. I think he's awesome, but I certainly don't dislike the other characters because of it. Far from! I Mass Effect and it's characters.

I like Kaidan, he seemed to of been a good friend to my Shepard. It's a shame he had to make the ultimate sacrifice so that I could be with Ash ... so that I could dump her in ME2.



I'm sure when I replay Mass Effect 1 again in the future his odds of survival will be generally higher now that he really isn't competing with my love interest.

Man I wish I could draw like that, Kaidan looks so incredibly sexy angsting.  And I definitely wanna get in line to hug him.  Or not wait in line and storm to the front, but someone already beat me to that.

I think it would be amazing to see Kaidan fight Thane/Garrus/...no but Thane or Garrus over Shepard.  Too bad I won't because I love him too much not to be loyal.  I figured my Shepard knew him well enough not to be too angry, knowing how long it took him to open up.  And I dunno, something about how gentle he seemed to be... and then combined with everything else... just turned my heart to absolute mush.

Ah, the good old days - I had a different name when I was in the group, darned if I remember what it was now though. I've converted to my WoW shaman's name on the BioWare forums (never did finish that Carth story, oh well, I've moved on to not-finishing DA:O fanfic due to work, obsessive rewrites and ME2 for now).

I'm not suprised Kaidan went mad on Horizon. I would too if someone I loved and for 2 years believed was dead, showed up all of a sudden and said "oh hi Kaidan, long time, how have you been". Seriously.. I wish I could punch my Shep for saying that.



Oh and that final scene with Kaidan's pic, before omega 4 relay - sooo romantic



One of Dragon Age scenarios had a wedding in the end, I want this in ME3. It shouldn't be easy, it should depend on Shep's decisions, but it has to be possible. And please, don't kill Shep, or Kaidan right after we get married

Have this odd feeling threads like these are important. Both Kaidan and Ash got a lot of hate on the forums after ME1 was released and look at how they ended up in ME2. Those who did get a lot of love, got BW love as well (Garrus and Tali). With the comments from BW on how they are monitoring who will cheat on their LI's and how they are expecting us to, I get the feeling it may have an impact on our original LI's in ME3. Just this gnawing fear I have, call me crazy.



My main Shep is loyal to Kaidan, not even a single flirt with the new crew, despite her awkward opening line when talking to Jacob...gah.

I am just hoping they give Kaidan a bigger role in ME3, but again my gut tells me to prepare for disappointment already. So, I'll support Kaidan threads and hope they will counter all the hate he got after ME1 so Bioware knows he has fans as well and take it into account when working on ME3
