Y'know, they always say that women are hard to understand, but if there is any truth to what you said Mobar, I don't understand guys. Posted Image

Haha, I may have been a bit too blunt.
Kaiden is written to be a femshep love interest, his demeanor, his voice, his stories and the way he looks at you inspire trust and genuine care. Wich makes him the most sympathetic bloke on the ship, and indeed to the younger male a bit threatning.

In other words, we do agree :)

I finished reading SweatiePea's link: social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/105/index/1036626/5

You guys did an amazing job defending Kaidan.  On the point about whether or not Kaidan knew for sure that Shep was working for Cerberus(since that seemed to be one of the main arguments of the Kaidan Hater) I think Isaantia's videos make it clear that he had no idea that she was alive or working for Cerberus...it was just a rumor.  In fact in one of the videos he visibly backs away from her when he realizes she was with Cerberus.

Isanntia's vids:

I'm still disappointed with the fact that "I'm leaving with you" was not an option on Horizon.

I am and I'm not, I really really wanted more Kaidan but if he'd abandoned his principes I'd be disappointed, I would rather have had an e-mail like the one we got but saying, 'I can't join you while your with Cerberus but have to see you, if you're still interested come and meet me at the Citadel' with sexy scene following before Shep heads off on suicide mission

That would have been far more satisfying storywise.

Haha, no I didn't want him to abandon his principles. I wanted to abandon Cerberus and rejoin the Alliance.

Or I would settle for some sexy time on Citadel before I head off through some relay to an unknown area where my probability of surviving is low... again.

Oh right, yeah I would have abandoned Cerberus a the first opportunity, I headed straight to the Citadel with the intention of doing just that! Stupid plot, I hated Cerberus, wish I could shoot TIM!

I almost want to start taking bets on if there will be another Mu/Omega Relay leading to a presumed suicide mission in Mass Effect 3. It seems to be one of the tying themes so far.

Same here! I loved the role you play with the alliance in ME1, the heroic ending added to that.
Also after clearing out the Cerberus research facilities and finding Admiral Kahoku dead, my hatred for Cerberus was complete. Being forced to work for them was an unexpected slap in the face.

Exactly, my biggest problem with ME2 is that we could talk to the council and see that they're being jerkfaces, but we never got a chance to see if the Alliance would reinstate Shepard and allow her to continue fighting the Collectors under their banner.  There is no good reason why we couldn't at least try, and if they stonewalled us, it would have been a *little* more reasonable to continue working with Cerberus.  As it is, I felt like I was being railroaded into playing in a way I didn't like at all.

This...a thousand times this.  Just one more scene that hinted at a reconciliation in ME3 would've been infinitely more satisfying.

Haha, I am suddenly reminded of an Eddie Izzard sketch:

-"Did you brush your teeth?"

-"Yes! No! I was dead at the time!"

So I haven't been on these boards long (Wynde uninteniontally directed my here w/ a link on dA), but I am very curious as to how Tali got such a following. In ME1 I used her maybe twice, she didn't make much of an impression on me. Anyone else come across that?

Also, it's odd that one of the reasons Kaidan is disliked is b/c they don't think he is a "manly man"...I suppose a biotic kick resulting in a snapped neck is wimpy.

I have loved Kaidan from the start. The scene on Horizon really bothered me. I found myself desperately wanting the chance to explain things better. I felt a bit better after getting the email from him, but I still expected a chance to talk to him one last time before launching my suicide mission. I would think my FemShep would have called or written him an email to tell him how she really felt about him, just in case she didn't survive her encounter with the Collectors. I am holding out hope that he will return to her side and crew for ME3.
