I think most of the people from the old forums are here, but I'm a newbie (to forums, anyway). I miss the emoticons the most, well, the easy tags. It's too much to flip back and forth between another tab and pasting a long trail of computer language. Lol.

I used to root for Kaidan being a SPecter, and was extremely happy to see that he's a commander now, but I don't really want to see him as a Specter anymore. I'd rather see him serve under Shepard again (both intended and unintended pun, lol) or work alongside, but have a very important role/ party member.

I guess I am just blessed to have both the real version of Kaidan and the virtual one in love with me.  Although, the real one better not start having drinks with some doctor.

Can't decide if I want to play it on my laptop or XBOX. If I do PC, its nice b/c I can play whenever I want and don't have to worry about DH being upset about me hogging our TV...

If I play XBOX..its on my nice plasma. So I haven't decided yet...

Dammit! I want a Kaidan av! lol

I do too, badly... I would get it for PC, if only for the avatar... is that a bad reason?  Too bad I already had it on Xbox before I knew this was a possibility.

So, concerning Kaidan's status.

TIM leaks information to the Alliance about you being alive and now working for Cerberus. He hints at Horizon and the Alliance, believing Cerberus could be behind the colony attacks, must get really worried that a former spectre thought dead could be behind it too.

Anderson approves Kaidan's mission to Horizon to investigate, even though the official mission statement says something different. So it's all hush hush.

But why would Anderson sent Kaidan to Horizon? He's a councillor while Kaidan is Alliance. If the Alliance wants to investigate, they don't have to go through Anderson at all. It's always perfectly clear that Alliance business and Council business are seperated.

The Alliance can investigate while the Council states they can't get involved. Does that mean Kaidan and Ash are now spectres? I dunno, but I thought it was odd.



Do I want him to be a spectre? Not sure about that either. It does make it easier to place both Kaidan and Ash back on the Normandy I suppose but like others have said I would rather seem him as N7. Especially in Ashley's case, she loathes politics/politicians and bureaucracy, having to work for the Council wouldn't fit that profile.



Anyway, I am curious as to what the mystery around Kaidan's files is and can't wait to see that's going on in ME3. And I do believe Kaidan will be a full squadmate in ME3 again. It's the end of all things, the final grand battle, the epic ending to Shepard's story, he has to be there at her side!

Bioware stated that cheating on your ME1 LI will have consequences in ME3. Could it be that Kaidan is only recruitable if you've been loyal to him?



And then having him back on the Normandy made me think some more

I would love Shepard's cabin to be like the DA camp, meaning returning to the cabin (which we all often do to feed the fish etc) could trigger a cutscene with a LI. I am sure Kaidan and Shepard have a lot to talk about to get past all events but I loved seeing NPC's taking inititiave in DA like Alistair's cutscenes back at camp.

In ME we only get that when it's time for the smexy scene, but why not make private talks etc trigger on cabin entry at times? If I were Kaidan and back on the Normandy with Shepard, you bet I would take the elevator to her 'loft' to get some answers instead of waiting at his station for her to come to him



Which also leads to a lovely 'reunion' at the Normandy scene in my head. With Shepard standing in front of the aquarium, arms crossed, lost in thought. EDI interrupting to announce Staff Commander Kaidan Alenko has boarded the Normandy.

Shepard then tells EDI to send the commander up. Scene trigger with Kaidan entering her quarters, all business and stern looking. He looks around, pans his head to the right, looks at her again. And if you've stayed loyal in ME2 and his picture is on your desk still, his head jerks to the right again and he's caught offguard by the evidence of Shepard's love.

Awkward dialogue ensues, Kaidan probably comments on the size of the cabin, the fish and whatnot, they smile a bit uncomfortably and then he's back to business and wants to settle in at his post. He states they will have to talk sometime, walks away and Shep gets a dialogue wheel. At that point you can confirm your relationship, keep the option open or end it all together by telling him the past is the past etc. Kaidan freezes at the spot for a few seconds before continuing onwards no matter the answer, just to acknowledge he heard you

Nice to know I'm not the only one trying to imagine how they will meet in ME3. I personally am thinking about something more dramatic...maybe being on a mission (maybe in Omega club) where some bad guy starts threatning Shepard and suddenly Kaidan comes from the side to deliver an awesome biotic punch.

Ever since in ME1 he told about killing the instructor to protect Rhanna, I've been waiting for a similar scene to happen with Shepard. Even if he has been practicing some self control after that event, I don't think the ability to do that has dissapeared anywhere.

Even if they were (and hopefully will be) both in the Alliance and under certain rule, I'd still like Kaidan to step up a bit more and show people that no one messes around with the woman he loves.

Edit: LOL thinking not drinking...I must be developing a fever or something.

Even though technically Shepard doesn't need it, it doesn't mean it's not adorable and heart warming. Though she would never tell him that, ofcourse. Guys generally don't like words like adorable or cute
