That being said, if I had to choose between Kaiden and her, I'd choose Kaiden. That's where the Miranda/Shepard tagteam ends.

Yeah, with Miranda being a femme fatal I have a feeling that she would go after Kaidan...how could she resist. That's when I'd throw her out the airlock.

Agreed, I mean the council is stupid, but not in that way.  I don't really think they'll be a Spectre, I mean I wouldn't be opposed to it but it just doesn't seem likely for some reason.  Yeah, and the council sending a person who they might have known was in love with Shepard AND a former teammate who believed in Shepard when they fought the Reapers, I doubt it.  I'm thinking... HOPING... the council will finally be like "well, maybe you're right."  Knowing them, it might never happen, but I'm hoping they do.  Even if they don't, though, I can see the Alliance/them telling Kaidan/Ashley to go help out Shepard again, after all, she's surrounded by crazy people, they need to get someone in there they know isn't going to explode at any moment.  And why not someone Shepard has worked with before, and a human, because the council wouldn't wanna involve someone REALLY important, typically...

I just think the LIs from ME1 have to be squadmates, considering they have so much to catch on.  A cameo would just fail, no way it could answer all those questions.

the Council will finally believe Shepard abort the Reapers. Isn’t that some kind of proof that Reapers exist that she gets from Joker at the end of the game?

Anyway I
wouldn’t mind Kaiden being a Spectre in ME3. Shepard states that from now on she will do things her own way, so I suspect she won’t answer to any organization except the Council. Working with another Spectre would be nice. But it doesn’t really matter as long as Kaiden plays a major role in the next part.

I really missed Kaiden and scenes like when you were grounded at Citadel in ME1, when he came to support you. This time around she had to be strong for everyone, and I got the impression that no one on Normandy noticed how hard it must have been for her. I know she’s strong and everything but it would be nice to see her having someone to relay on again.

I really think that Shepard will need Kaiden’s strong support if she’s going to succeed in the nearly impossible task of defeating the Reapers, don’t you?

If that was the case, then I'd try to hook her back up with Jacob. Not that I've not already attempted that. I just felt like slapping Jacob in the back of the head after his loyalty mission and go "Come on man! Don't lose your chance like I did! Get back with her! Why else would she do that for you!?"

Something I really hope we get to see in ME3 is that Kaidan isn't just a LT anymore... he is a Commander. Shepard is barely a Spectre and he now has some experiences to draw upon that he didn't before. I personally would love to see them butt heads a little or Kaidan get frustrated because Shepard is leading the charge when he is just as capable as doing so too, and even did so when she wasn't around. Sure, this isn't Kaidan's story, but I'd love to see this growth in ME3 or an expansion. (Same can be said for Ashley too.)

Oh, definitely, but I don't think the Council even wants another human Spectre right now.  Who knows, however, maybe Kaidan is already a Spectre, and that's why he was reporting back to the Citadel after Horizon instead of Arcturus Station.

I think Shep is going to need to get back in the good graces of the Alliance in ME3, and Kaidan could be the liaison.  I just don't see a way to defeat the Reapers completely without entire fleets of ships, and that will mean an much more epic battle than the Battle of the Citadel. 

Kaidan is the only witness to seeing Vigil on Ilos in the Alliance, and he obviously believes the Reapers are a threat.  So I think it will be easy to write a larger role for Kaidan/Ash in ME3...they better!!!

The one upping could be cool and it could suck majorly.  It depends on how its executed.  I doubt they'd do that with Kaidan, though.  He seems too reserved to have very much of a power complex.  Even if he is capable, I think he'd understand this is Shepard's battle.

That is quite true. Kaiden with a power complex doesn't really mix... which I'm very greatful for.

Yeppers I do think they won't have much of a choice with this kind of evidence, maybe if you went renegade you could take it to Cerberus but if not it's off to the Alliance and Council you go.. Mayyybe.

Yes, that is something I'd like to see...Kaidan rescue Shep for a change.

Now THAT would be awesome.  Fight the battle, be about to lose... Kaidan come to the rescue!  Yay!  But I wouldn't want it to be on a ship, I guess if he came over like a video or something, but I'd wanna see the interaction between him and Shepard.  i.e.- "I'm NOT losing you again."

On the sidebar, go to "Profile > Change Profile Photo" and the new ME2 avatars should be at the bottom of the drop down list.

Which would then lead to an agrument with shep because she is mad at him for putting himself in danger, up until a firey Kaidan saying shomething like "I lost you once, i won't lose you again" followed by him throwing shep on her nice new bed and....................

Why not, there are plenty new humans on Citadel after the battle with Saren (C-Sec for example). Can the Council really stop human expansion in any field now... But that's not the point.
I reall think that Shepard has some kind of serious death wish with all those missions. I mean they barely stoped one Reaper, and now hundreds will come.
I just think that Kaiden and Shep relationship will be more 'official' this time. They are the same rank, and practically Shepard is no longer in Alliance nor she will be with Cerberus. She can still command the team but they don't have to be restricted with the military regulations anymore.

I think ME3 will almost by default have to be something enormously epic, both storywise in plot-twists and the original LI-wise.

I would be very impressed if they gave the council any role of importance in ME3, since you have the option to let them die. If they are willing to spend the development cash to implement both the council and kaiden in a good solid role, then they would be well on their way to make amends for this recent insult.

On another note, reading the personal stories and interpretations you guys (specifically you gals) vent in this thread is actually helping me with a little insight into male - female conflict resolution. Especially the kind of conflict that happens, but doesn't get discussed... like ever. It just takes place without real words if you catch my drift, and it's so easy to get lost in your own pride and view of your own side of the situation. Reading this makes me remember that I never used to have trouble with that. I have allready started to find a way to resolve this

You don't have to have one now, they hae avatars for ME2 on the avatar page for registered game owners, which, since you're on this board, means you.  You can technically have one now.
