I have problems seeing him and Miranda hit it off as well in terms of romance. Miranda is more pro-human, Kaiden tends to view all alien races as equal... she voluntairly (crap spelling) joined Cerberus, he'd rather they be destroyed... stuff like that. On the flip side though, they can talk science together.

Though the main reason is because I picture Miranda with Jacob most of the time. They got a connection that I will someday put back together! 
I've noticed the two fellas seem to like women that can kick ass.

If I ever do write fanfic that featured Jacob and Miranda, I'd have to write them getting back together.  Both of them show a lot more sentiment and feeling for each other than they do Shepard, male or female.  It's very odd that they obviously still have feelings for each other, but when it comes to Shepard, the romances are written as kind of predatory booty calls.  Perhaps they pursue Shepard to make the other one jealous?

And yeah, Miranda seems a bit too egotistical and calculating for Kaidan.  And I can't see him getting past his feelings about Cerberus *just* for boobies.  Even a genetically enhanced set.

It wouldn't suprise me if that was the direction Bioware was heading, the fact they did and still do have feelings for each other was kinda shoved in our faces, one has to ask why?  Would also immediately eliminate two of the squadmates if they ran off together and we all know that based on what devs said, they're not all that integral to ME3 because they can potentially die.

It wouldn't suprise me if that was the direction Bioware was heading, the fact they did and still do have feelings for each other was kinda shoved in our faces, one has to ask why?  Would also immediately eliminate two of the squadmates if they ran off together and we all know that based on what devs said, they're not all that integral to ME3 because they can potentially die.

I'm not sure I believe any of the ME2 romances were serious...even with as little as we got with Kaidan it had more emotional impact than the other LI's(at least from what I've observed on youtube). They just seemed kinda shallow. But if you think about it...Shepard is famous now...famous people could have the face of a Krogan and people would still want to be sleeping with them. Kaidan/Ash and Liara knew Shep before all the fame. It just feels like their feelings are more genuine to me (of course I'm a little bias in my way of looking at it since Kaidan is my Femshep's LI).

About the shagfest in ME2. It could very well be a test by Bioware to see how the fans would respond to it. So far their approach has been 1 or maybe 2 romance options per gender and a bi character thrown into the mix. But with all the calls for MOAR, perhaps they wanted to see how that would work out.

Again quality over quantity seems to be what Bioware prefers as well but they do try to cater to the fans as well. Not sure, I just don't get all the obvious forced romances in ME2.



They really wanted to see how important the romances were to us perhaps, do we really grow so attached to the characters as we claim to be? I know Bioware has asked that question themselves, how many of those defending their LI to the death will still do so after new romance options are tossed on their path?

I replayed the Battle before the convo with Kaidan on Horizon four times to get the very best conversation out of it that I could... I was so sad to see him so angry. =/

Well, if you do write a Miranda/Jacob fic, tell me! ^^ I've been trying to set up those characters like this was a Harvest Moon game. XD 

It's a shame that Kaiden didn't get past his feelings about Cerberus for Shepard's revived boobies. XD

I'm sure all that is useful to them for the future but I would have preferred that they had gone another route and not used the second game as a means to test my loyalty . No one likes being a lab rat. Hopefully they will give us lots of Kaidan and a happy in ending in ME3 to make up for it.

Even if the LIs in ME2 were more than short flirtation I doubt they will have as large role in ME3 as the LI from ME1. Any of the squad members in ME2 could be dead at the end, while the first LIs were kept away to make sure their role would be secure in ME3.
I also like the fact that the first LIs knew Sheaprd before her raise to fame.

About the bitter sweet endings in DAO. I really hope we get a possibility to get a feel-good-ending in ME3. It could be that we will have to work to achieve it, just like working to keep the squad alive in ME2. But there should be a good ending option. I loved DAO but no matter what I always felt kind of sad at the ending.
