Didn't like Jacob.. Liked him better than Kaiden from the first game who had no personality.. but Jacob just rubbed me the wrong way.. I'd go to see if he had anything to say.. and he starts patranizing me.. saying I'm trying to make nice with the crew.. and he's got a line where he says I don't force talks, and then just turns around!... Still I liked him better than Kaiden.. who I sent to die in the first game..

Dislike, eh? I enjoyed all of the characters on some level, though I'd say that the human cast filters down to the bottom because I'm racist. If Zaeed had actual conversations, I would like him more. Jack has an interesting backstory, but I highly doubt any of my Sheps would let her on their ship due to emotional instability. Miranda and Jacob, really, it's just because they're human. Aliens FTW.

I hated Zaeed. I didn't really like Mordin in the beginning either but he grew on me. He's actually pretty funny later on. I'm surprised at the hate for Jacob on the poll. If you're playing as Paragon he's pretty cool.
Miranda was kinda "meh" at the beginning but after her loyalty mission I liked her more.

What's wrong with Jacob? He's just fine. Jack may a bit of a stereotype, but she's still one character you "get to know". I can't see why people think she's crazy after having played the game

Jacob's boring because he doesn't have an overt emotional baggage or psychological problems. I don't want any rounded, healthy, stable people on my ship.

Jacob. Seems like a jerk to me and the whole shoulder-bumping thing at the end of his dialogue just annoys me greatly.

I didn't hate any of the main characters on the first and second play through,However on the third I couldn't resolve the argument between Jack and Miranda with Paragon/Renegade options,Which rounded up with Jack losing loyalty and ending up dead in the final assault because she was sulking in her quarters.

miranda, and its terrible too because she has such an awesome passive. her face is ugly, her voice was irritating, and she wasn't likeable in any way.

If I had to pick it would be Zaeed. But if I get to pick any character in the whole ME series it would be Udina. Farkin Udina, he annoys me every time I see him and I'm glad that he gets to kiss Anderson's ass now.

Jacob is Broseiden, god of the Brocean.

Miranda. Definitely. Always inserting herself into conversation. Stupid heels in a combat situation.
Then Samara. The new Liara. Why must asari be boring?
In ME3, the only asari I want on my team is the bartender from eternity. Or Aria.

Definitely Zaeed. I hoped he would be as well-implemented as Shale, but he really wasn't. It was nothing personal, but I ended up thinking of him as "that guy who lives in the basement who is way too attached to his rifle."

Jack. Just way too stereo typical ''crazy'' badass and I got really tired of hearing F bombs and mother****ing this and that every other word. Her back story was really cliched, and too forced. Personality was way too abrasive.

Zaeed and Tali

Grunt - a complete **** compared to Wrex. Still can't believe that he got shot in the belly (last missions) and could not regenerate past that bastard.

I voted for Zaeed. If he wasn't an option I would have had a much harder time. I suppose in general I liked the alien characters more than the human ones. I may have selected Jacob as the worst over Zaeed without his loyalty mission. I expected something similar to Shale and was fairly disappointed.
I felt like I had seen the Jacob, Miranda, Jack, and Samara archetypes done to nearly the same quality in other media before, though I cannot name specific characters for all of them. I can excuse Jacob and Miranda because they felt significant to introducing the story so I guess I'd have to vote for Samara as the most disappointing non-DLC character in ME2 to me. Jack would have felt a lot stronger if she'd showed more than telling. The tough woman but a little girl inside line wasn't delivered sarcastically enough, in the right setting, or with the right background to feel like anything other than tripping over into telling instead of showing. Her shell cracked too quickly and she wasn't erratic enough and triggered correctly for my female Shepard. I've heard her romance dialogue is fairly strong for male Shepards, however. I may have disliked Samara partly because she didn't give me as much history about the Asari as I expected, and instead closely followed a story I'd heard before in another media.

Interesting. Zaeed hands down, but Jacob, Jack and Miranda all have detractors. Samara to a lesser extent. Hardly anybody dislikes any of the other characters.
For me, Miranda. Not to say that I don't think she's a good character, she just rubbed my paragon shepard the wrong way, repeatedly.
I actually liked Zaeed a lot.

Miranda, liked her at the beginning but then she had a snap at Jack after we blew that Cerberus facility up.

in regards to the zaeed hate...
I'm waiting for bioware to make a 'chatty kathy' character, that requires skilled conversation maneuvers to LEAVE the conversation (with renegade and paragon options to either slap or yell STFU).
yes it would be a shoe-in for dislike, but I would find it funny, (although some people may just want to beat the crap out of their companions... so my plan could backfire)

If I could vote twice it would be for Miranda and Samara, as it stands Samara's loyalty quest saved her from the bottom of the pile. I found no redeeming qualities in Miranda...Samara was boring as a character, but her loyalty mission was really interesting. Miranda's was just like Garrus' mission except Garrus is an infinitely more interesting character.
