How do you start the Shale Questline?
I saw a statue at Wardens Keep it gave me the find more about Soldiers Peak
I did Wardens Keep.

since then? Nothing has come up..

I haven't come across Shale either, but I do know it's completely separate from Warden's Keep.

If you've done Warden's keep, you should look on your world map for Sulcher's Pass on the West side of the map. You will meet a Peddler who will give you what you need.

Assuming that Shale was downloaded and shows that it is enabled, during my origins part, I obtained a quest to go to Sulcher's[sp] Pass.  That would be the first step.

Ive done the game twice now on 2 dif chars gone all the way to the redclif rescue and nothing. On either character has gotten me the Quest to Sulchers Pass. 1 was an elf mage, one was a hman warrior.

Does the pass show up on your world map? Should be more yellow as the keep was.

I dont see it on my map either. What should I be looking for?

It'll be over on the west side of lake calenhad.

nothing on my map at all ive searched many times. Even run laps between Frostback and Calenhad in hopes of a random encounter that would give me it. Nothing. I was considering trying a third character to try to get it but... really after 40 hours of play on 2 chars and no shale whats the point? Its obviously broke

I got the quest to find shale during a random encounter while travelling. Keep trying I guess,..gl

I went through Sulcher's pass and met a man who told  me how to find Shale, and marked it on my map. You should see some mention of Shale in your Codex too.

Step one.

Ensure the DLC is downloaded and activated.Yes you have to input your game key or buy it.

Step two Go in game and look in the Download section of the quest journal.That will tell you about the merchant in the pass.

Now you should be good to go to get SHale.

Add me to the list of Shale being activated in downloadable content but no journal entry, Sulcher's pass or any thing else in the "Premium Content" section.
