The idiot rejoined the Crows(in death of course) when his "old friend" came and tried to kill us a second time. I killed him gladly. There was no option to let him go. Every option left with him attacking you like a stuck up B*stard.

This comes about when you neglect him.Raiseing his favor beforehand makes him*skip* the encounter.

But seeing how he turned on yah...you must not of cared about him anyway.

If he is at neutral or worse, he'll attack regardless. If you've raised his favor then one option makes him skip the battle and one option he'll fight the crow guy anyways (assuming he was in your party at the start of the cutscene I guess).

Yep, I told him to stop making passes at me and that dropped his liking by -20.

But seriously, what's with the "I'm your man blah blah for better or worse" oath he took...

As if you've never lied to someone in the past.

Especially if your class is a rogue and you specialize in assassination.

I liked Zev. He was very amusing.

I got him some 80's glam rock boots, and he totally fought by my side. And his stories were entertaining. Why would I kill him?

Zevran is the easiest character in the game to gain favor with. You can get him to a very high approval level by simply selecting the right conversation options.

If you are worried about losing him in that encounter, you can reload a save anywhere safe, initiate a conversation with him, and get him up to a very favorable level in no time, then go initiate the same encounter for a very different result.

Can you have both Zevran and Alistair in your party without having conflict? I missed my chance to get Liliana for a rogue, so I have to get Zevran, but I'd like to keep Alistair too. I haven't heard anyone say that it can't be done. Anyone know?

They can party up without issue. Try it out, and be sure to keep your audio turned up. :)

Pfft just for the heck of it, on my second play through, I was given the option of killing Zevran..when he ambushed us the first time. So a cut-scene appeared with my main character slitting his throat.

That ought to cause a different outcome to the story I would imagine..very curious to see how that affects things. :)

If you give Zevran the Adallan (or whatever it is called) Boots he falls all over you and wants an invite to your Tent. As much as I did not want that kind of outcome it did give me the Assassin's Skill Tree from him and he remains loyal even when the Crows attack me. He was a huge help to say the least. So if you are willing to "close your eyes or hit escape" and proceed with his "interest" the rewards are well worth it! Even Morriagn or if you had Leliana as a Love interest you will not get the Jealous choose her or me outcome if you "play with Zevran"!

Indeed, Zevran is more than willing to be your plaything. Quite the masochist sicko, really.

I don't think you give him enough credit. There are reasons why he is the way he is (mostly for survival and making the best out of bad situations) and he is sweet if you get past the surface. Players who immediately write him off will not.

Funny, I had the same encounter and tried to get him to stay out of it since I didn't have much use for his squishy, yet nonmagicy assassin self, he insisted on fighting (By my side, naturally -.-), didn't even think it was possible for him to act in any other way during that encounter. ;)

First playthrough he fought along side me against the crows/his buddy, then asked if he could leave. I told him not to let the door hit where the maker split.

Second time I just killed him at the ambush site.

Yeah, I basically had to push Zevran off me. : ) And yes, his "sex tips" for Alistair are immensely entertaining (though nothing had me laughing as hard as Oghren's "What do you do with the legs""? script.) :)

I liked Zev, other then the gay stuff Posted Image
Thought it was idiotic when I kissed Lelianna and suddenly saw on screne that "Zevran disapproves -3".   Posted Image  Really wish Bioware would hide that stuff better so the only way it a issue is if you intentionally make it a issue!

Or at least give me the option of running my sword through him and thats powder puff (in human noble storyline) at start of game for making passes at me.  Posted Image

Im going to play a female character eventually and thats the characxter that will flirt with Zevran, till then guess Ill just never see his storyline cause would hate for his gay junk to ruin my romance with Morrigan and Lelianna when im playing a male character!

Absolutely. I didn't think I'd like him at first, but not only did he become one of my main guys... he also became my character's main guy. You know what I mean. And I wasn't even planning on giving my main dude a gay love interest, but hey, I let it keep going and that's where it ended up. Towards the end it even went beyond casual sex and he really developed a love for my character.

So, is Zevran a **** and a murderer? Sure, and I guess he'll remain that in your eyes -- if you don't give him a chance. But give him a chance and he'll grow on you. You'll find out that he's not the cold-hearted, mass-murdering assassin he's made himself out to be. And you might even find out that there's a special place in his cold, detached killer's heart where some kindling can be lit. And when that happens, his entire demeanor changes. Zevran is redemeed through love in this game.

A tad too romantic, I know. I'll stop right now before anyone gets squeamish. Carry on.

I killed him the first time I encountered him as a Mage and now as a Noble Warrior. But as a Mage I decided to get him so I reloaded LOL, but my first instinct was to kill him right there and there.

With my first guy, I was serious about "as many allies as possible" and decided not to kill him.

With my second guy, just took him out after he failed to kill him the first time.

For those that don't want to engage Zevran in a more romantic way, you don't need to go that far for him to become friends with you and still teach you his specialization.

IIRC, I was pretty quick to let him know I wasn't interested in what he was offering, and he seemed okay with that.

Yes. There's no more masochistic and sick act than... sleeping with someone you find attractive. Posted Image

I normally kill him every time at the first meeting. I only let him live once so I could get the achievement for recruiting all party members. I'm happy with my party, myself, Morrigan, Sten, and my hound. I don't want anything to do with the other characters. Three of my playthroughs have all been with that party. I only have one saved currently that is a "good" party.
