ok, I am redeeming a code for a weapon and armour but when I registered on here it did not specifically ask for my xbox id, it just said to register and check name availibility. So I registered and put in the redeem code and it tells me to restart my console for new content. How can new content be added to my console when I was never asked my xbox gamertag for content to be added to it in the first place. This site is really confusing. Could someone help me use my redeem code properly so that the weapon and armour is added to my console?

When you put the game disc in your 360, it should give you the option to link your gamertag and EA account. Make sure you use the correct email address you used for your EA account.
This DLC cards should have said:
Make EA account.
Put game disc in 360.
Follow instructions on the screen.
