One of the things that really sets Mass Effect apart from other games, is the amount of data available. I'm thinking about the codex here. And planet describtions. Everything has it's place, every character has a purpose and everything is explained.

One game that does not have this much detail is WarCraft. It had a great story, sure, but that's about it. And look what turning it into a MMO has done. Every piece of story has been rewritten to allow players to participate in certain events of face certian foes. Do you really want that for Mass Effect?

A story is very, very difficult to tell via a MMO. Something WILL get lost or altered to oblivion in the conversion. But let's see how they do with KOTOR.

If Bioware cant do it, no one can.
Usually I reserve from blind optimism but there it is.

MMO versions of games is the last swift kick to the balls a developer usually makes to a series.

I don't care for an MMO, but for crying out loud make a PnP RPG set in the ME universe, and not sold in mini sets of x amount of levels or by Green Ronin. Don't use d20, but something different. That's what i'd like, so I can play a Krogan Bluesun Merc who's married to an Asari Commando, and writes poetry to her while off killing people.

A MMO sounds good as long as they close off the story in ME3 properly and don't do a KOTOR 2 and have an open end then make a MMO, no way a MMO can ever beat a single player game's (crap games excluded) story and presentation, simply b/c having a bunch of other players around you doing whatever the hell they want just kills immersion and lets face it MMO's are just grind fests/fetch quests with chat.

Well I dont really want an mmo out of this right now ,but after like 1 or 2 years when stuff gets better and so on Maybe!

Otherwise I wish mass effect to have Co-op

or least all character playable at the same time

I think if it is implemented right, it could be great. However, I doubt this, as the franchise is already great and an MMO would have to fill some BIG shoes.

Maybe not MMO, but what about good ol' multiplayer matches? You know. 16 players in one match.

Team Deathmatch : Humans vs. (other race)

It would be actually fun. Biotics pushing players away while soldiers rush forward.

They did already add a MMO-style time/money sink in fuel/probes/mining.

That said, I'm definitely opposed to pretty much any game being made into an MMO.

No. Emphatically, no. I've yet to see an mmo that doesn't have a shallow, unengaging, and static story, where your actions have absolutely NO effect on the world. Taking an amazing single player rpg like this where your choices make a difference and butchering it for MMO consumption would be a crime.

Plenty of people would play a Mass Effect mmo. Its not worth asking here because people who dont like or play mmos say no.

After ME3 finishes it wont matter anyway. Let players have their mmo to play for years and let others do continuous playthroughs ad infinitum because theres no ME4.

I like MMOs, I really do, and I don't understand the hate from primarily single-player gamers... but I am 100% with you on this. Bioware has one MMO already they can't afford to screw up... and Mass Effect III has to be single-player... it just has to. A Mass Effect MMO in the distant future, sure. But not right now... it will result in no Mass Effect III... and we like Mass Effect as a single-player game. Don't put ideas in their head OP.

And I'd rather they make more Mass Effect single-player games after III than an MMO. Sheperds son perhaps?

Except in the case you chose Liara. Any children would be asari.

All I have to say is, who cares? If they make, they make it. Just because you people write random crap on here doesn't mean they'll listen to you.
