It's the best use of my current time if ME3 is better for it. Talk about delayed gratification.

I'm sorry but your logic does not work here. Any constructive criticism is regarded as blasphemy and you will be flammed at the stake. Saying that you want to make ME 3 better will only further compound your blasphemy, as ME 2 is the very embodiment of perfection. I cast you OUT blasphemer. Fanboys grab your pitchforks and join me in casting this blasphemer OUT. He is not part of the group because his opinion is different, he dares to say that ME 2 is not the very embodiment of perfection. I say again. I CAST YOU OUT BLASPHEMER, the power of shepard compels you, the power of shepard compels you, the power of shepard compels you.

Sarcasm only works if it's amusing.

Sarcasm? I'm serious. We have a blasphemer in our midst. One who dares question the very perfection that is ME 2. We must cast this blasphemer out.

Yea no. Still not funny.

Usually after a release BioWare is fairly good taking out the trash - they were good about a week before ME2 release, but now BioWare seems to have left us forumites out to fend for each other on the social site. It saddens me.

This guy is the Vanguard of ME2's destruction. Bioware is combing the forums looking for guys with ideas for the next game, you can be damn sure blackrhubarb 2.0 is the first name on their list...

[/sarcasm]

If you want to see what Bioware is doing, take a look in the technical support forums.

If they are anything like the DA:O tech forums then its going to be full of posts asking for help and no one from BW replying...

How dare you question the mob. Are you a blasphemer as well. We have another blasphemer in our midsts, CAST ALL THE BLASPHEMERS OUT!!!! Do not listen to their lies and evil ramblings. They are different they, question the perfection that is ME 2 , they question the question that is the perfection that is ME 2. CAST THEM OUT.

You're sad. I'm sad. Doesn't make a great forum, but it will get better.

It will settle down in a couple of weeks and only those who love the game enough to praise and/or criticize it will still be here.

This is hardly unique to the Mass Effect 2 forum. Just about every gaming forum I've visited has had more people whining, complaining, ****ing, and arguing rather than actually discussing the hobby they supposedly enjoy.

I don't know what happened... These forums used to be fun. Now the game is released, everyone seems to love it (I'm not far in but I adore it so far) but the official forum suddenly turned into this bitter place full of complaints and disappointment. I mean, I can understand it if you are disappointed about aspects of the game but it's starting to look like there is *nothing* but bitterness here. It's absolutely bizarre. I can't imagine how that must feel for the Bioware people who worked so hard for so long on this game... To see their hardest core group of fans turn against them. I'm sure there's a psychological explanation for all of this that has little to do with the quality of the game, which, even though these things will always be subjective, is pretty amazing from many points of view.

Considering the initial sales number for the game I'm pretty sure that BW does not really care about what is said in these forums, they will only start to care when they begin the marketing campaign for ME 3.

My theory is that some people think that complaining about a high-rated game makes them cool. Constant cries of a game being overrated or an insistance that the reviewers obviously had to be either paid off or receiving oral favors from the developer/publisher are a dead give away.

I think in general the attitude in the ME-forum is a little harsher than in the DA:O forum, more name calling and rants. Guess it's the cold space enviroment speaking.

Yes, I like to go against the grain and be an individual apart from the crowd. Did I mention that I also loved Wolfenstein? You should play it. It's really great.

Or maybe people are complaining about legitimate problems.

Like maybe the Biotics being weaker than the other classes? Or having more DLC armor than actual armor itself? Or not having the ability to customize your Squad armor?

This game is far from perfect, and certain parts of the game require a lot of attention. As far as I can tell, if you don't voice a problem, Bioware won't listen. If you don't shout your problem, Bioware won't notice. I'm glad there are complaints, it shows how ME2 still requires patching up. I'm hoping it'll convince Bioware to spend a little more time fixing parts of the game rather than focus on releasing more DLCs.

"Solider's shouldn't be able to DPS AND Tank at the same time"

"Infiltrators do too much damage for a hybrid class"

"Vanguards are broken"

"Nerf sentinals in PvP!"

"Why even have engineers when hybrids can do their job AND more"

"Bioware is catering to the casuals"

"Insanity is too hard"

Gotta say though, for every million people, there was one brilliant person who put way too much time and effort into the math behind the game (I programmed a couple simulations for druid tanking =P  )

Preaching to the choir.

Nowhere did I say that all people who complain are like that.

You think this is bad? Have you been to WoW's forums?

This is like a summer vacation in the sunny Bahamas, with a cool beer and a hot chick compared to those.

This, a thousand times this. Try being one of the early adopters of the Death Knight class (one of the first 100 :P), I swear I've seen the worst humanity has to offer on that forum.

The WoW forums are a wretched hive of scum and villany...wait...that's Mos Eisley. Well, the point is, the WoW forums are far worse than here.

To the OP:

Sorry you don't find the humor in a vigorous debate about thermal clips and the emotional depth of imaginary alien girlfriends... especially in a world full of war, natural disasters, economic crisis, and dark predictions for humanity.

Are we evolving into a species that no longer enjoys debate for the sake of debate? This type of silly banter is FUN! Just like pretending to be an elite space soldier fighting arachnoid lobster overlords from the 8th dimension : )

Sure there is a lot of wretched tripe scattered about on the forums, but even that adds a bit of color.

Don't be such a scared little girl!

(and for the love of god don't make a fool of yourself by thinking that is a serious "personal insult" lol)

The larger the crowd, the worse the forums are. I was around for the DA:O forums after release and the sheer amount of angry/bitter/crazy ****ing here is much worse.
