Okay the original is now updated. Sorry if there are editing mistakes. If you want to skip over characters, look for the "**********". Thats where I started my plot predictions. Let me know what you think.

For those who keep citing the DA Expansion as proof that Bioware will magically revive characters, I thought it was established that if Alistair dies, the Queen takes his place in telling you about the quest or whatever.

All of mine relate to squad members as I agree about army recruiting. In ME3 I see...

1. A Krogan...(Wrex, Grunt, or someone new)

2. An Asari...(Liara, Samara, or someone new)

3. A Quarian...( Tali or Kal Reegar...surely Tali)

4. A Salarian..(probably Mordin..maybe someone new..hold the line)

5. A Geth....(probably Legion)

6. An Alliance Earth Rep....(probably Ash/Kaidan...Anderson, maybe someone new)

7. An Ex/current-Cerberus Rep (Miranda or Jacob...possibly a new person)

8. A Turian....(Garrus probably....could be a new person)

9. A Shadowbroker Rep.....(probably a Volus, but could be any alien race that has been modeled)

10. A Rachni Queen possessed person....(anyone really)

11. A wildcard player.....(some newer race or a DLC, or a missing crewman)

12. Someone new entirely that is yet another Wildcard.

12 is more than enough...and I bet these guidelines are somewhat followed..think about it.

I speculate that if your Shepard is female and you romanced Thane he will stick around and a major sub-plot of ME3 will be finding a cure for his Kelper's syndrome, similarly if you're male and romanced Tali it turns out that her precautions failed and you gave her (for a Quarian anyway) a deadly disease, providing both genders a version of this quest.

See that's what I thought was going to happen for DAO awakening as well. But so far, everything I've seen and read is that he is coming back no matter what. If someone has any info on this I'd love to see it.

As it relates to ME3 predictions, if it turns out this is the case, I'll strike my mentioning of it from the record. However, none of my theories hinge on this point alone, it was just more evidence I was submitting. Thanks for bringing that up though.

ME1: Sovereign tries to activate the Citadel and fails. Chooses to work with geth instead of collectors because the keeper evolution made it bitter towards organic races.

ME2: The collectors contact Harbinger and say this guy "Shepard" killed their vanguard. Harbinger is like "WTF" bring me this Shepard and build a new Reaper to activate the Citadel.

ME3: Reapers fire up their engines and return from dark space, a feat which while possible leaves them very drained and open to assault. All Shepard needs to do is assemble a fleet which is easy because the whole galaxy (krogan/salarians, geth/quarians, Citadel Space/Terminus systems, Pro human/pro alien) acknowledges the Reaper threat and are willing to put aside their differences...

Very good post.  My only thing is the books.  Not sure how many on this post have read Revelations and Ascension, but if you didn't you were probably lost a bit in ME2 (not much just on certain dialogue points especially Quarian).  The Ascension project involving Kahlee Sanders and Gillian seemed to play a big role to write an entire book about it.  Especially if the first book gave you everything you needed to know about Captain Anderson and Saren who were 2 major characters in ME1.  I know there is a third book coming out that involves Gillian's step dad (adopted Gillian for TIM).  He is the test subject for the Reaper technology so you definitely know Cerberus got there hands on the Reaper tech even though you might have chosen to destroy the base.  Also the second book avoids bringing up any points regarding major choices made by the character in ME1.  Doesn't mention Wrex, Rachni, Zhu's Hope, or fate of Council.  Only tells you about how Shepard defeated Saren.  I'm sure that Grayson could be a possible enemy if you told TIM to get lost.

Also I'm not sure that is Tali on the Ascension book cover because if you read it she's not involved when they (Kahlee, Gillian, and Hendel (he's old so doubt he'll be a huge role) ) get to the flotilla.

I also think we will infiltrate the Citadel and get to its core and at this point learn the origin about the keepers and possibly the reapers. This will be the turning point of the story where Shepherd will learn how to destroy the reapers. I think it will culminate in a final battle to board a Reaper ship (Harbinger, the assumed leader), fight our way to the central hub of the ship, fight the actual being harbinger, upload a virus that is then broadcast to all other reapers and we will either be able to destroy them or control them! I also think the Shadow Broker will play a role in this, much like TIM.

This way of defeating the Reapers makes the most sense because A) Look at all the carnage ONE repear caused to the combined forces of the council races plus the alliance. There is NO WAY we could defeat as many as were shown at the end of the game without a backdoor sneak attack of doom. The reapers obviously have instantaneous communication methods, possibly quantum entanglement, but probably utilizes dark energy, evident by the data collected by Veetor in the beginning and Harbinger's ability to react instantaneously to the changes of battle. Reaper's can transfer their being into another, evident by Sovereign taking over Saren's dead body and Harbinger taking over the Collectors. Not merely controlling, but full being transfer, evident by Sovereign the ship going pretty much limp after you beat him.

I updated to include the shadow broker and Ashley/Kaiden because there was some confusion about what I thought of them. Also, I'll be implementing a table of contents type feature soon you you'll be able to Ctrl-F your way to what you'd like to read.

I just want to say that whatever happens in ME3, the ending is going to be along these lines.

The various species of the galaxy fight a desperate losing battle against just the first wave of reapers, while Shepard finds some unbelievable galatic power that can destroy them all in a single blow, but requires some major sacrifice.

Likely it'll be you and your LI arguing over who dies to save the galaxy renegade they die, paragon you die.

great post man, nice points and evidence to back it up. We'll see how right you were when ME3 comes out. Maybe you secretly work for bioware and are giving us hints....

At the beginning of ME3 the reapers will arrive and prove to be too much for the galaxy. Shepard will fight valiantly, but will die. Again. At this point the character creation screen will come up and you'll be prompted to create (gasp!) your very own reaper!

The game from this point on is super exciting. You go from planet to planet and use a scanner. When the graph spikes you'll launch probes to collect organic life. Once you've harvested enough you win!

Liara is coming back she is the only unkillable squad member from ME1->ME2. Bioware make her stay on Illium so you cant get her killed.

I don't think Garrus will die, they abused that too much in ME2, and he has something to live for now if you romanced him, giving him a purpose, and the will to live outside of the mission. He might have a chance to die again in the third if he makes an appearance, but I highly doubt that it'll be unavoidable. That said, I bet that your LI's will have an opportunity to sacrifice themselves for you, and will if you do things one way or another that will have a way of wrenching your heart out for these character's you're so fond of now.

you forgot EDI (the ship AI)... Because at the start she said it got some specified things in her core. I guess there will be something about EDI in ME3 you gonna take care about?

I definitely think EDI will return and play a role, but I honestly have no idea what they could do, besides her and Joker getting cozier. I'm not sure if the hack she received will actually have an effect next game, because it might be that her infestation by Harbinger was resolved.

I would hope that Bioware reward trilogy players for keeping squaddies alive and bring ALL survivors back for ME3 as potential squadmates above and beyond the new guys/gals that we are sure to get.

Would also like to see (cured?) Joker and (uploaded to Geth style mobile platform?) EDI join the A team too.

3. Miranda: Also kind of a no brainer on if she is coming back. She was in ME Galaxy, which nobody played, but there you have it. She is Cerberus, and bioware did its best to make sure you didn't screw up and kill her.
      a) Miranda will represent another central conflict of ME3: Cerberus VS the Alliance. The tensions are certainly present throughout the story, and will be exacerbated by the fact that Ashley/Kaiden will be returning to the Normandy as a squadmate. Like any good story, in order to make a huge conflict become real, the writer must personalize it. Therefore the conflict between Cerberus and the Alliance will be manifested onboard the Normandy with Miranda and Ashley/Kaiden. Locked down.

What if she was loyal enough to us to resign from Cerberus? Well...actually that's still not enough to get all the Alliance types off of bashing her when they meet her. What do you think?
