Is Steam DAOA getting pre-order bonus items? I know Gamestop and Amazon have their own bonus items. Steam must have one too! I'll only buy DAOA on Steam once pre-order items are announced.

What pre-order bonus are you refering to? As far as I can tell, neither Gamestop or Amazon offers any pre-order bonus.

There's an amulet as bonus on amazon. At least it appears on the german amazon-website. And only for the PC, for some reason. There should also be a shortbow as bonus on gamestop but I can't really find it anywhere.

I really hope that this is a day one only release and not just a pre-order bonus! Me and a bunch of my friends stocked up on xbox live points already.
Unless there is a way to preoder on Xbla. :/

That Pearl of the Annointed is worth the Pre order.

Haven't heard of any preorder bonus items. BT games had preorder bonus for dao and me2 so I suspect if an SA retailer is getting it they will.

So, say I was to pre-order it now over Steam. If they were to add any bonus items to the pre-order, would I still get them?

This is the reason I am holding off on pre order. I want to see if they are going to do a bonus and who will have the best one.

Do expansions really NEED pre-order incentives?

Not necessarily. But an expansion as big as Awakening, there should be.

Fun to see what we get in expansion as bonus item to redeem, however i rather still think just like the original game you get one item promo code and also a new addon promo code on each side of those promo cards that are in the expansion pack. Since this is mostly standard, we will wait and see.

Yes, I'd also be interested in knowing whether other countries will get these items.

Haven't seen any mention of that for my pre-order through Direct to Drive, but I guess I could always check?

I might point out that if you buy DAOA on steam, you must have bought DAO through steam also for it to work.
So that will narrow down some peoples choices of where to buy from.
Personally, i think i'll go with amazon seeing as i found being a Ranger in DAO to be useless compared to being a warrior or mage
