Hi all my specs on this Dual Core DDR2 system are
Win 7 x64 Ultimate
Intel Core 2 Duo E8500
Nvidia GTX275 (196.34 Beta since 196.21 is problematic)
8 GB Ram DDR2 800
Issue is with ME2 (Tried ME1 last night all smooth as silk)

Issues,
I have noticed that ME2 is really squeezing my PC during play running 98-99% Processor Usage all the time
(which has me very worried I'd be rather gutted if went boom). On a personal note this is similar to the DA:O issue I've been having...

Also load times after leaving the lazarus station are pretty damn long, about 15-20 secs with the snazzy screens, then another 30-40 (sometimes 1 min) of blank screen some looped background sounds and nothing else, this occurs when loading a new area (eg entering orbit of a new planet) character selection, and squad points, and weapon loadout.

Will try out the new beta drivers from Nvidia to see how it goes

Character nav while sprinting
If I have my guns out while sprinting I cant make shepard change direction? Weird but not saure if its a bug or by desgn...

PS A few other bits n bobs (pretty minor compared to above)
"randomly getting stuck in mid air, happened at Horizon, an abandoned ship and other places I really dont want to spoil for people thing now as i think its pretty minor at the moment.

Graphical weirdness:
Talking to certain high ranking humans on the Citadel, produced a googly eyes issue where my char's and the dude's (that walked in) eyes started bouncing up and down out clipping through their eyelids

Eyelashes when importing
Another issue is that when i mport my ME1 character eyelashes seem to disappear from every character ingame save Miranda, i solved this byt restarting the game but its pretty niggling all the same.

I am experiencing almost the exact same issues.  Except instead of eyes it's Shepard's hair that goes funny.  It's a solid brown with no shape.

I have also noticed that I can play for about 20-30 minutes and then I get the "Mass effect has stopped working"

I having been following the forums and nothing that as been posted here works for me.  I have been watching the memory and CPU in the task manager.  I noticed that the game always seem to use are 1,300,000k-1,500,000k but as soon as i travel to another system it starts growing steadly until it gets to around 2,700,000k-3,200,000k then with a couple of minutes after that, I get all of the stuttering, freezes, and then it will go black, loop the audio and I have to alt-tab to the "mass effect has stopped working error"

I thought I might have bad memory so I have tested the system in a few different games (Crysis, Dragon Age, Bioshock, Mass Effect 1 and Empire Total War) I have also used some the the benchmark utilities to stress test the system and it's only in Mass Effect 2 that the problems exist.

Is there any chance that there could be some type of memory usage issue causing the problems as well.

Can't say for sure mate, but here's an update:

As of 196.34 forceware (BETA) the game hangs on loading screens where the loading videos loop over and over, the only solution i found was to set affinity (CPU 01) which made it perform properly. Real Issue building here,
