Who else loves the interrupt system ? There's some interrupts that are just so awesome. The hug, Tossing people out windows, Shooting Asploding tanks etc. Who's keen to see the new ones come ME3 ?

HELL YEAH!

The interruption system is plain awesome. You normally know what'll happen, and you have to judge what to do fast. For example, even someone playing Paragon can see the advantage of insta-capping two krogans in a cutscene, and thus you slam right trigger and watch the blood fly. Damn great system.

I was going to suggest Paragon/Renegade interrupt choices, but it would be really hard to show the player what each could lead to, and we'd just end up picking the option that suits our Shepard's personality, and ruin the system. Like mindlessly choosing the "up" dialogue option without even considering the others.

I love them. People would be talking and Shepards all like "I'm sorry, I can't hear you over the sound of how awesome I am"

But anyways yeah they should have it in ME3

Here, here! I wish my reaction time was much quicker, 'cause I always miss 'em. The well-timed Shepard hugs were so clutch!

I am keen to see more in the next episode, yes.

They did a great job on them- they're practically seamless.

This. I feel so good when I get to grab people and hug them. It's so sweet.

They're great! After a while you know when you might have to use one (for instance, you see an enemy sneak up from behind, so you might have to push someone out of the way), they're clearly shown as Paragon and Renegade actions, each on different sides of the screen and with their own symbols and color, so you know exactly which way you're going with them, and Bioware even had the care to put each kind of action on two opposite buttons so you don't accidentally trigger an action opposite to the alignment you're going for just because you had a twitch reaction.

My only "complaint" is that they're so cool that I always want to activate them, regardless of my Shepard's alignment, so sometimes I have to fight the urge to press that button and see something really awesome just so I don't deviate from my current alignment.

The interrupts are probably my favourite addition to ME2. I'm trying to stick to paragon, but some of the renegade interrupts are so splendidly foreshadowed that I just have to hit the button to see it play out.

HUGS for EVERYONE. pistols to the face. Repeatedly punching the prisoner.

I may have issues with some design flaws in ME2 but the interrupt system was a godsend.

The interrupts definitely make you pay more attention to what you're reading. After awhile, you can see where the moments hit, but it's still a clever turn here and there, which keeps you aware of what's going on. Now, mind you, there was particular moments that the need to pay attention gets in the way of your full attention to what's going on in the screen - for example that rather, erm, stimulating view of Miranda from that lower posterior angle *ahem*. But it was definitely a welcome addition. And fortunately, they didn't overdo it - they used it enough and in such a way that it came out alright. Now, the flow of the conversations got interrupted with the cut in, but that just can't be helped.

A+ feature add to ME2.

I do, I do! But I've done it on accident a couple times... like telling Mordin to 'Shut up!" when I met him. I'm so used to QTEs in Resident Evil 4 and Bayonetta and such, I just do them automatically sometimes.

I love the interrupts, but I have had to use my save games a bit more. Usually because I get into a whack-a-mole mentality and click before thinking. Games have trained my twitch muscle for many years, see blinky, click blinky...

One of the things I love most about the game is how well Bioware has re-done the conversations. They feel like you're actually having a conversation instead of staticly standing there and having an awkward discussion. With the variety of camera angles and movement and the interruptions... it was awesome. So thanks for that Bioware, Great Job :D

I enjoy them, i think they're cool. Question for all y'all: what do you think of the little hints you get of an upcoming interrupt? Things such as showing Shepard cracking his knuckles before a punching interrupt, or Shepard handling his gun before a shooting interrupt? Was it clear? Did it help you decide whether to use the interrupt, or decide which interrupt (Paragon or Renegade) to use? Did you even notice it?

I did notice it...sometimes. Most of the time I just clicked to see what's gonna happen :)
I also found out that if you wait long enough there can be a Paragon interrupt after a Renegade one pops-up. That was cool.

I could usually tell when a renegade option was coming. Shep's body language gave it away. But I play almost exclusively paragon (go ahead and laugh), and those interrupts always caught me by surprise. I got in the habit of putting a finger on the left trigger during every cutscene, just in case. I still missed a couple really quick ones, which made me have to go back to an earlier save.

Yes, these hints are clear and blend very well with the rest of the cutscenes. In fact, this interrupt system is in my opinion the best addition to Mass Effect that part 2 brought. Many gameplay elements have unfortunately suffered, but dialogue and presentation are much improved, especially because of the interruption system. If anything, I'd wished to have even more situations where it's used.

Woah, I nevern noticed it because im usually looking at the characters face mostly. I played renegade on ym first playthough so I always went after renegade interrupts;

I have a question though for every renegade interrupt is there a paragon interrupt? Because I know when we find the Quarian on Freedom's Progress we can either shutoff the consoles monitors or shoot our gun.
