I enjoy them, i think they're cool. Question for all y'all: what do you think of the little hints you get of an upcoming interrupt? Things such as showing Shepard cracking his knuckles before a punching interrupt, or Shepard handling his gun before a shooting interrupt? Was it clear? Did it help you decide whether to use the interrupt, or decide which interrupt (Paragon or Renegade) to use? Did you even notice it?

absolutely, playing over playing i became aware of the upcoming interrupts like you said. Shepard makes easy to spot them so i didn't miss any .

Btw it was easy for me to just push LT (plying on 360) to make always the paragon choice...but in the next playtrough i wanted to balance paragon/renagade to see more interrupt choices.

I think if you want not to miss any interrupts, you alredy have to know what to press (paragon/renagade), otherwise you will easily miss it

I absolutely love it! I'm going through Paragorn right now. I can't wait to see the outcomes when I play through again as Renegade.

I LOVE them!  The keep me on my toes and engaged in the conversation, not thinking too hard on what I'm going to do, and more in the moment.

Also, the stuff that happens when you use them is really fun to watch play out.

The Interrupt system is awesome. That is one of the things I love about ME2.

I loved them too. As to whether they were clear or not. The renegade ones were pretty obvious as to what was going to happen. The paragon ones were a bit harder to figure out

I never noticed that. On the other hand, I can't say that I was too surprised to see what Shepard did when I used the interrupts either, so maybe I noticed subconsciously? :)

I noticed but failed to see the pattern til after the fifth or sixth time.  It was a very nice addition and very subtle.

I thought the visual foreshadowing was cool and more than helping me make my decision to use the interupt it set the mood for the what was about to happen. Usually the course of the conversation was frequently clear enough that I knew where my Shepard stance on the issue was. I played mostly Paragon the first time through, but alot of the Renegade interrupts just made sense. They felt like things even a Paragon Shepard might have to resort to at times ... the galaxy is at stake.

I think I could more easily tell when an interrupt for a renegade option was going to happen; ie looking at the tazer/welder in the Archangel Mission, than for a paragon. Because I played paragon, a lot of the time I'd hold out on using a renegade option to see if an opposite paragon action would appear.

I did clock that **** reporter in the jaw though.... :D

Woah, I nevern noticed it because im usually looking at the characters face mostly. I played renegade on ym first playthough so I always went after renegade interrupts;

I have a question though for every renegade interrupt is there a paragon interrupt? Because I know when we find the Quarian on Freedom's Progress we can either shutoff the consoles monitors or shoot our gun.

No there isnt always both options.  As a matter of fact, the more I think about it, more than half are one or the other only.  I can remember a few with Mordin that ended up having both.  I usually play Paragon and I am on my third playthrough so I know now which situations to **cough..cough** choose the usually more dramtic and fun Renegade path on to get my character what I want.

I liked them, although I would have liked a few more *badass* options for paragon - like punching jerks in the face when it is appropriate. Never really had any trouble figuring out what Shepard was up to, but knowing if the commander was going to simply slap someone on the head or shoot them in the face would have been useful at some points, like mentioned above.

I rather liked the interrupts and the subtle cues as to what they might be. Since this is a spoiler-free forum, I'll just say that there's a certain interrogation scene where you can play "bad cop" that I rather enjoyed.

I did notice the interrupt 'hints'. They were quite nice.

I also like the little tune that plays after you pick a Paragon interrupt. It makes me feel even better about 'doing the right thing'.

I try to pay attention but at least twice so far I've been shocked by a Renegade interrupt going way above and beyond "interrupting" and once I fell off my chair laughing. It's the equivalent of the argument ending shank in Dragon Age. I was expecting a threat or a punch, and I got a scene out of Pulp Fiction.

It was awesome.

Personally, I LOVE the interrupt system. I've played paragon, and now am playing renegade (as nauseating as it it), and the only thing missing are hug/makeout interupts upon being reunited with Kaidan or Liara. Or Ash:whistle:

I love them! They're easier to spot than I thought they would be, and Paragon interrupts can e pretty bad*** (who didn't love shoving around that slimy volus and C-Sec grunt on the CitadelImage IPB?).

I noticed that putting the Paragon interrupt on the left side of the xbox control, makes me need to be more intentional on using it.  Idk if that was intentional or not (since most people are righties), but I thought that was interesting.  Juxtaposing the ren interrupt to the right side, makes it easier for it to be an impulse thing.

Or tis could all be totally irrelevant and in my head.

It was very clear, An awesome aspect I hope continues over to the next game, actually.

The hints were pretty helpful, plus the camera angles showing said hints gave the dialog a nice cinematic feel.

The interrupt system is my favorite addition to ME game play, I hope we get more in ME3 XD

The body language was excellent, I always knew when an interrupt was going to pop up.

Overall, the addition of the interrupt system is one of my favorite new features in ME2.

Oh god I'm dumb as a rock then. I never noticed anything that would tell me an interrupt was coming if it wasn't for the flashing mouse icons in the right (paragorn) or left (renegade) corners.

I never noticed any hints. I feel like a failure now. They always felt out of the blue for me.

So what my Shepard did on my paragorn interrupts are always a surprise to me... beside when someone is coughing blood all over the place and the option pops up... I'm guessing I will try to help them when that happens. Other than that they were complete surprise for me.  Granted I'm about halfway in the game maybe? Hard to gauge.

Huge fan of the Interrupt system!  Much more emotionally immediate and adrenaline-inducing, brilliant addition.

I'm not near finishing the game, so I'm only going off what I've seen so far (up to Horizon) - but is it just me, or is Paragon not such a touchy-feely option anymore?  I like being sensitive and reasonable some of the time, i.e. not a hothead, but it's so great to be more of a (morally) righteous BADASS.  More of that, please!

(Or, and I posted about this elsewhere, I would love to see a more sophisticated dialogue wheel/personality axes that account for a spectrum of demeanor in combo with morality.)

I loved the interrupts - most of my favourite moments in the game came from picking the Paragon interrupts. It was also great to see Paragon shep bring a bit of badass to the table, and the variety in the interrupts was fantastic.

As for the clues - they were subtle, but noticeable, at least for me. The renegade interrupts were perhaps a little more obvious, but that might be because I was intentionally avoiding them for my Paragon style playthrough. The Paragon interrupts sometimes took me by surprise, but they were all the more cooler for having done so.

All up - I loved the system, and I hope it's back in spades in future ME content.

People don't know which detail is important. A simple note in tutorials, tips or hints would solve this problem.

The interrupts were one of my favorite things about the game.  I wanted so badly to use all of them even though I was mostly paragon.  They were so awesome.  And I have to hand it to you guys for the paragon interrupts, because they are just as badass and awesome as the renegade ones.

As for your question:  I definitely got the sense of tension that something was about to happen before most of them.  I think there may have been one or two I missed because I wasn't paying attention (or...was eating chips with the interrupt hand...) but I thought it was all pretty clear.  You don't want to telegraph it too much, but there was just enough for the most part.  For instance on Jacob's loyalty mission when you can push that woman out of the way of the shot.  You knew that was coming a split second before it happened because you watched Shepard look at and register the man with the gun.  There was nothing really obvious though, which is preferable to me.  I liked the ones that surprised me. :)
