The beings of light in the planet description aren't exactly the same as the Catalyst. The Catalyst sends the Reapers against us. The beings of light supposedly protect us from the "machine devils". Similar, but in essence of purpose, vastly different. Assuming the Reapers are the devils, sending them to kill us isn't protecting us from the devils is it?

The machine devils would be like the Geth.

I'm not referncing what the Catalyst says. I'm referencing the OP that says in his idea that the devils are Reapers. I'm saying the OP didn't predict it if he considers the Reapers to be the devils. It would have been a proper prediction if the OP said the devils were OTHER synthetic life but he didn't. He said they were Reapers. Not the same as what happened with the Catalyst.

Yep, the interpretation/prediction was wrong, in that people presumed the machine devils were the reapers. Interesting that there has always been this little snippet of information that matches up with what the catalyst says.
