I found out some interesting things while messing with the Coalesced.ini

Line 6146 of the Coalesced.ini handles the Party Selection menu.

Line 6158 has the party screen info for Kasumi. I haven't had much luck manipulating this field however I grabbed a section of the code linking to her Dossier and pasted it over Garrus' Dossier info.

I then added other parts of the inactive Kasumi field to Miranda's code line in the party screen. Last 2 pictures show what I saw.

Image below shows what came up in the part selection screen. If you think this was photoshopped, go and edit that section of the code yourself with Notepad++ and you'll get the same results.

Lol, that just proves that they cut content from the game to put as DLC. EA's influence is kicking in!

She stole from Cerberus...like her already. :)

Edit: it proves they were preparing to add her at some point in the. To 'cut' such a piece of code is not as easy as you might think.

Except if her models, animation, voice work, recruitment quest, loyalty quest, and full game programming isnt completed.

You know, all the work.

That actually does not prove that all, just means they had some data in the game probably prepping for the character.  Game development tends to be modular and dynamic so it is not surprising that some data may have gotten into the game, but I doubt there is an actual model or even her mission data in the actual game files or if there are they are threadbare.

But sure if you want to believe that EA is a monster go right ahead.

ah, the typical, "lets blame ea without evidence" ploy

for some reason I am doubting this is real based on the position of where she would be in the line up

While that is certainly possible, this doesn't "prove" anything. For all we know, it's just content that was cut entirely, and we will never see.

And even if it is true, are we still not past complaining about this now that we have the game? There is more then an average full game's worth of content in it now.

Actually if Kasumi is in cerberus network they didn't "cut" it, they simply reserved an unifinished part of the game for the ones that bought the game new instead of preowned (unless you pay for CN).
Which is, under any point of view, quite a good strategy. Whatever encourages people to give their money to the devs (that will re-invest it to bring us more content and good games) instead of Gamestop will definitely meet my approval.

I hope Kasumi comes out soon as it seems she is intended to take part in the Final Mission and my two main playthroughs have already completed the game.

It's not in it's standard place because I put the Dossier information code for Kasumi in Garrus's Slot.

Also - UPDATE - That image of Kasumi pasted all around the internet a few weeks ago IS INDEED THE ARTWORK! Posting new pic here shortly

Right, you know, cause They'd leave the tell tale sign of their treachery like that. Maybe you should get that EA kills everything they touch stick from your ass for a moment you'd see straight.

Well, EA is a business. Bear in mind that Shale for Dragon Age was pretty clearly part of the main game but mysteriously became DLC later. With that said, I hope Kasumi is a bit more developed than Zaeed. You can't even have conversations with him on the ship!!

Nothing mysterious about it they even made it into a joke in game.  The model was too big and didn't work so they spent more time developing it and it just happened that the game got delayed and it was available when the game launched.

That wasn't mysterious at all, as they told us they were doing it. Whether you beleive their explanation (that it was cut, and then the game was delayed, so it became DLC) is up to you.

I think the fact that Zaeed is no fleshed out at all is indicative of the fact that he was always intended to be DLC. As you say, he doesn't really operate like any of the other characters. He is designed as a bonus.

This. Also, it makes sense that there would've been someone to recruit at the Citadel. Seemed like a place which should harbor some "talent".

The whole "DLC was cut" thing is nonsense. Programming in a dossier is the easiest part. You've got the model, the voice recording, animation of lip sync, animation of combat, balance testing, bug testing, loyalty and/or recruit mission programming and testing, texture work, etc.
