1. Yes there was another squadmate, they originally had 12 - aka the dirty dozen, a movie whose influence is very prevalent in ME2

2. Zaheed and Kasumi didn't fit as well as the others, they were very close with Zaheed so they wrapped him up after the deadline to finish what gets shipped and he came out a day or so after release. Kasumi, as you can see, isn't nearly as flush as Zaheed and they may or may not finish her and release her via cerberus network later on

I don't really care, I'll be done playing the story by then and will only download events that take place after the final mission

Huh? When did Shepard get unique dialogue for Pinnacle in ME2? Or are you just referring to the ME1 add-on?

The ME1 addon, if they can pay the voice actors to do unique dialog for that, they can pay them to do unique dialog for anything.

I'm willing to bet they recorded the Pinnacle Station dialogue during the first round of voice acting for Mass Effect 2. They probably did the recordings for Zaheed and Kasumi at the same time. I think the main problem with talking to Zaheed on the Normandy has to do with the animators working on the scene. They were willing to devote the time and resources for it for the recruitment and loyalty mission, but not for the discussions on the Normandy.

Honestly, instead of adding new squadmates, bioware should just release DLCs that give us more interesting and relavent missions.    We already have ELEVEN squadmates, the most any bioware game has ever contained.

The way I heard it. It was some fat guy living in his mom's basement that was screwing around with the core files and found strings of data about Kasumi.

Not... another human squaddie... C'mon! Why not another quarian or some other race. Well at least I hope shes blonde and smart, sad Miranda was supposed to be blonde but that got scrapped.

Also I think the squaddies we have now are far from shallow, somewhat deeper than those from ME 1.
But yes I would also prefer added sidequests etc for the current.

User created rumor. Just because people want it, doesn't mean they'll get it. BioWare is smart, if they did a Liara DLC, they'll get hate from the Ashley/Kaidan fans. A Mass Effect 2 Expansion pack is more likely to include them than a normal DLC.

There are Liara DLC files included in the game. Of course, that doesn't mean there will be Liara DLC, just that they reserved a spot for it. There were a few spots reserved in the first game that were never used.

The rumor was created b/c of these two files that can be found on the PC version: 'twrhub_liara_dlc_lead_in_d_S_INT' and 'BioD_TwrHub_504LiaraDLC.pcc'
Wheather it'll be completed or not, we don't know, but hopefully it will.

Yes the rumors of Liara DLC stem from those placeholder spots with her name. Logically it will probably have something to do with Mass Effect: Redemption which won't be done for another couple of months.

Up until Kasumi and hammerhead should be free, anything else afterwards can cost money if they wish.

The Liara DLC was also talked about in an interview about the comic.  Saying that once all 4 comics are out DLC that ties into it will be released.  Sorry no refrence but I believe it was on IGN

Well those 6000 lines of dialogue actually shed hope on us actually having a full-on convos with her in Port Observation, and her having both a recruitment and loyality quest!



Zaeed not having a recruitment mission was just a buzzkill.

Bumped my touchpad and submited the post before I was finished writing.  I was trying to say I like DLC that adds to the game in more ways then a new gun or outfit.  I like it when they extend the game itself by adding new chapters or storyline material.  I only buy DLC that adds substantial content to the game, like the Pit and Point Lookout for Fallout 3.  The Hammerhead and Kasami are going to be free from what I heard so I will definitely get them if that is the case.  If they are not then they better be good for me to want to get them.

The Hammerhead sound like it is going to be pretty cool and I look forward to seeing if it is because I kind of miss the Mako.  I always liked it and I thought that it would be funner if they had more stuff to shoot at besides thresher maws and Geth armatures.

I doubt Kasumi will be free content.  The Hammerhead will be but Kasumi probably won't.
