 I am a longtime fan of Mass Effect (having played through both games) and was disappointed to find out that I could not play through the game as a different class using my end game completion data for ME2.  The options that a player has are:

Start New : no bonuses (not fun if planning to play insanity)
Import ME1 : minor level boost and additional resources, can change the class
Import ME2 : same level as import + 125% exp boost and additional resources, ****can't change class****

The clear choice for anyone looking to max out or play a high difficulty level would be to use the ME2 data, but then you can't try out the game as a different class.  I don't get it?  I was really excited to go through the game and win the achievement for beating it on insanity using a sentinel, but now I have to use my infiltrator to stand a chance.  Is there a reason for this?  Thanks,
