But I also think her friend is the Drell. the comic does not say and in the game she does not say. But She was working with him to find shepards body so it is a high probability.

Its possible she is trying to save the Drell named Feron from the Shadow Broker.

The Drell seems pretty useless though. He is a traitor to the Shadow Broker and probably deserves to end up in someones trunk, as that is how the business of information seems to work in ME. He knew the risks...

To an extent yes the games are cannon but the choices you made are not. unless bioware says what decisions are cannon and what are not.

He admits to being ordered to lead Liara away from Shepard. Who else would give that order?

He has worked for the Shadow Broker in the past. That, or the Mass Effect wiki is hilariously wrong.

Either way I vote for the Shepard getting the choice to "move on". Squad is full up as it is, and frankly someone with Liara's baggage... no offense..but Shepard has enough problems as it is

It also doesn't fit her character at all: she's going to fall in love with someone else right after her lover's death when she knows Shepard is coming back? That's pretty contrived, especially with how wary she is of entering into a relationship in ME1.
It's more likely she either chooses between Feron and Shepard, or Feron sacrifices himself so she can escape with the body. Now, that has its own set of issues - by itself it doesn't seem like it's enough to fuel that much obsession and anger. She barely knew the guy, after all. Also, why would the Shadow Broker keep Feron alive for 2 years? He's gotta be dead.
It's really got to be a combination of her guilt and sadness over Shepard, plus the Shadow Broker has very likely been attempting to kill her. A heavy dose of guilt over Feron can play into that nicely.
Hard to say without the comics being completed, but there are definitely scenarios that make sense - as well as a bunch that do not. Hopefully we get the former.

This was all cut from the game in favor of making a comic book, and with the excuse of its to confusing for new players. Legion was removed and instead the Drell moved in to the helper slot with writing privileges given to Darkhorse.

Don't forget a full blown comic book series. It's not complete yet so we can't say if it really ties the whole thing together or not, but it's a lot more than some of the other LI's.

But honestly as comics go you can pretty much guess where this is going. The Feron character has is too late to be a love interest, the only thing he can offer Liara at this point is a self-sacrifice (probably not death since she said she doesn't know if he is dead or alive) that causes her to feel guilt as she escapes with Shepards body.
If there is a Liara DLC it probably involves Liara finding out his whereabouts and asking Shepard to save him.

True, but she completely forgets over the span of two years? Really? ...Really?
Go listen to the conversation between the asari and her salarian step dad. Asari just don't forget and move on when their partner dies.

The events of Mass Effect: Redemption will tie-in to downloadable content that will be produced for Mass Effect 2. According to Mac Walters, the comic mini-series will be "expanding on characters that we didn't really explore in Mass Effect 1 and also looking at opportunities to expand on them even further in the DLC."
Taken from Wikipedia Mass Effect: Redepmtion article. This virtually promises DLC, and for who else but Liara! This will, at the very least, resolve her Shadow Broker problems, and even if it doesn't expand on the romance (which I doubt) it will still leave her smiling for the events of Mass Effect 3, and therefore avoid a pressing of the proverbial "reset button" on the relationship!

It's quality over content. Liara may have more lines, but any generic npc could say them. The fact that you are missing is that players want her to recongize the past LI which Kaiden/Ash do signficantly better when compared to Liara. If you never romanced Liara then your point may be valid, but that's not what people are getting at here.

What I wonder is if the DLC will actually reference their relationship - it would be a pretty forced omission to not have it come up.
